Thanks, but I think it’s egregiously unfair to mark me down for deploying street vernacular. I couldn’t subsist in my professional capacity without routinely so doing. Dench.Hillsbo
nice use of “principally”
I need to routinely throw words like that in, just to appear a bit more posh than I actually am.Liked. not only as it was spot on but also as the word "truculence" isn't used nearly enough on here!
Sorry, pal, svelte & well clad here.Blimey, I mean gosh, no seriously blimey, I mean bloomin eck. Just out of curiosity are you a fat pear shaped , smelly cellar dweller wearing clothes that haven't been washed in a month? Only asking.
I defy anyone not to be aroused by the above.Blimey, I mean gosh, no seriously blimey, I mean bloomin eck. Just out of curiosity are you a fat pear shaped , smelly cellar dweller wearing clothes that haven't been washed in a month? Only asking.
I disagree. It absolutely should, not least because it’s a wank argument. To draw an equivalence between Heysel and Hillsborough - and especially Munich - is utterly preposterous.
Hillsborough was a tragedy that was principally caused by the gross negligence of a public agency failing in its duty to protect the pubic.
Heysel was a tragedy caused by the reckless (at best) truculence of a set of football supporters.
In terms of root cause, culpability and present levels of contrition from those that caused each tragedy, they are worlds apart.
What was their excuse for the 7-2 tonking they received at Villa this season?Sam Lee pointed out on his podcast with Mooney that the Liverpool fans can never accept being beaten. This 4-1 doesn't count because Alisson had cold feet. The 5-0 doesn't count because Mané kicked Ederson in the face. The 4-0 didn't count because they'd won the league.
They always have an excuse to try and pretend they didn't get twatted.
The problem for most other supporters (especially Liverpool) is that they think that City have to be smashing in shot after shot to regard a game as a thrashing. It was never a 4-0 game or whatever in a million years. You can tell yourself all you want that it was but the fact is that up until your second goal, it could have gone either way. It’s not like both keepers were busy or scrambling. It was a fairly cagey game for the most part with neither side anywhere near full tilt. And of course it was a penalty, he’s pulled him back and made no attempt to play the ball. Absolutely stonewall.
