Good signing indeed, can't understand why we are evens to win the league with our CB/CM issues, would have been a very good addition. Our spine is not nearly as good as needed.

Still a little sad that so many smaller clubs are suffering at present whilst "we" spend money like that.

You are barely paying 30m for a 29-year old midfielder that also happens to be one of the best in the world in his position.

That's basically nothing even in today's market.

Thiago's a great signing, makes their first 11 even stronger.

I think my only hope would be them struggling to adapt to a more creative player in there with less of a run after everything attitude.

I reckon we’ll play 4-2-3-1 in more than a few games next year. Klopp’s not afraid to evolve the tactics and style of play and the way that he’s pursued Thiago suggests that he sees his style as being part of the next phase. His injury record isn’t great, but they obviously reckon it’s worth a gamble. Well happy here though, would have been gutted if he’d gone to United.

Agree Ric, anything that boosts "our" midfield and adds abit of quality rather than mostly the hard work ethic, has to be good.
Whilst I am happy about it and am glad the club are trying to build on last years success I'm afraid it is also tinged with abit of sadness...if that is the right word.
The news about Macc yesterday, combined with what happened to Bury, almost happened to Bolton and could happen to Southend (and I am sure loads of other club), makes me wonder again at how the game has gone.
I appreciate that there are bad owners and good owners (your lot very much to the fore on that) and that it is market forces and survival of the fittest etc.

But then I'm maybe stuck in the past.
I have watched football since the 1960s and badly-run clubs have always gone bust. There is more money in football at all levels now than there was in the 70s and 80s. There is a huge gap between the top and bottom of the game but non-league football is flourishing (at least pre-Covid). The situations at Bury and Bolton could have happened at any time. Everyone in the Manchester business world knows enough about their ownerships not to be surprised by what has happened.
I always feel sorry for the fans but everyone mocked us when Swales ran us into the ground so I feel no guilt about where we are now. Us City fans have earned our spurs and Liverpool have deserved their recent success after a pretty barren 30 years (at least in the league). Thiago is a good signing.

Good signing. Will obviously improve their midfield but also add some drive to the team. Its important to bring in new players after a title win and hes a good one to keep them 'on it' so to speak.
