You can’t ask much more from your back up though. And there’s the fact that 99% of the players Klopp has signed have gone up at least another level after being newly diagnosed as asthmatic. He’s a belting young player who could easily get miles better quickly. We’re definitely interested in him though, it’s certainly more than just speculation.

I'm not one to knock Thaksin, he was a tread on the ladder without which we might have struggled to get to where we are now. I know it wasn' a bed of roses but without him and Sven, Gary Cook and Leslie, who in my opinion all did their bit, we would have been a little back from where we are.
