This is verging on madness now. The media have already reacted with over the top hysteria and just keep adding fuel to the fire. What happened to VVD is not unusual it's a shame but such is life so they have no excuse for their advocating rule changes like Pickford being banned for as long as VVD is out, bringing on medical professionals to assess his injury the weeping and wailing coverage as if he has died etc. I don't mean to sound dramatic but I am starting to worry about Pickford more. We all laughed at that little pillock threatening him but what if... It needs to stop now because no one seems to be thinking of how this coverage is affecting Pickford he made a mistake but I don't think for one minute he meant to hurt VVD. If anything did happen to Pickford we all know the media would get collective amnesia forgetting how they stoked the flames for clicks.

If anyone could have known that less than half a second later VVD would have both feet planted and Pickford would catch him as he did, then can I ask them for the lottery numbers this week.

The tackle was miss timed but don't think anyone can say it was done to deliberately injure.
