You're dead right. It's called "confirmation bias". People already believe there is a conspiracy against their club so they look at everything through that prism. They magnify anythign which appears to confirm that belief and ignore anything which disproves it.

You go on any other football forum this week and there will be fans going mad about the way the media supposedly fawn over Pep and now Foden and ignore their club.
Whilst this is very true, there are definitely certain churnalists who are 100% bias either for, or against certain clubs as they have their own agenda

Much the same as political journalism

I disagree.

Using any tragedy to insult an entire fanbase and community is wrong.
I can’t speak for others, but I certainly don’t deploy it to insult an entire fanbase or community. I use it as a reference point to any Liverpool fan who has the temerity to suggest that their club is somehow better than mine, as many frequently do. As a counterpoint, it’s crude, I’ll grant you, yet utterly effective. A set of supporters that was directly response for such a tragedy has fuck all to crow about and need reminding of their hand in an event that shamed English football when they do. Perhaps if they showed a bit more humility and contrition then your comments would have more merit.

In addition, the widespread and enduring denials of culpability from club apparatchiks and supporters alike are outrageous and frequently utterly comical (Chelsea fans, Belgian skinheads, ‘wall collapsing‘ (which actually saved a number of lives in all likelihood)) seriously invite derision. These pitiful attempts at deflection are a rich source of comic material which deserve to be mocked. People need to be called out on their bullshit.

That about covers it from my perspective.

So in essence what you’re doing is comparing our treatment by the media similarly to all other clubs inc the ‘big/Sky/Super Sunday 4’, telling us the red clubs have as much negative press and there is no organised bias against us with certain clubs media departments pulling the strings and suggesting there are no journos constantly sniping, calling us cheats, asking Pep about taking bungs straight after winning a trophy, oil money comments, Arab owners, everyone else earned their money the right way, hiding us all the way down the sports pages or most days not even acknowledging us, carrying on about the cost of our squad every game we play against lower clubs etc etc etc? The last ten or eleven years never happened? The vast majority of blues, some of the most grounded fans around, are all imagining the same thing?

No. What you're doing is called Reductio Ad Absurdum, ie taking an argument to it's most absurd form to try to disprove a different point.

What I'm saying is that many football fans of all clubs suffer from persecution complexes and can only see the bad stuff and not the good stuff. We get some bad press because we are rich and successful but there is not this massive, co-ordinated cross-media campaign against City that some people believe.

I'll give you a little example: there's been lots of ceverage over the last few days about where it's all gone wrong for Liverpool. Loads of City fans are saying "Why are they not focussing on how good we were?" and loads of Liverpool fans are saying "They love it when we fail".

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Matip (Gomez), Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Sane, Mane, Firmino. Find me a game where at least three of them have been missing totally over the last three seasons. I believe there was one a couple of weeks ago in a non entity of match. Find me the matches or shut your trap.
Spitboy on Monday Night Football brought up a graphic of their starting 11 Vs Real Madrid in the champions league final of 2018 and their best current starting 11.

7 players who played in that final have played 85% or more premier league games since then.

No wonder they looked shattered and their form has dipped as Klopp has flogged them to death for nearly 3 year

It also shows Klopp clearly doesn't trust his backup players

They'll surely have to sell one of either Salah or Mane but they'll unlikely be able to strike another Coutinho-esque deal again where they sell for incredibly high and buy players relatively low - those days have gone.

They need to seriously invest if they are to compete but FSG arent likely to do so without outgoings first.

Klopps build/model is a one in every 5 year cycle. Dont see him being around for the next one.

He's done...

Know how many goal attempts you had after your penalty?

None. Not one. Zip. That's getting on for a third of the game without you fashioning a chance. In the same period we had the ball in the net four times, should have had a penalty, and dominated possession.

Say it's not a spanking all you like. The truth is you had your arses handed to you. Hard to take, maybe, but that's what happened.
Ah now go easy.

Because he is a poor coach

Erm, you were all about the ifs and buts. I’ve referenced you directly there. And no title win is hollow, believe me. I’ve seen plenty of them.
Here’s a question; do you think more neutrals would root for you or us? I’m not talking about supporting an English club in Europe because they’re English, I’m just talking about every day domestic competitions. I’m interested to hear your thoughts here
1 in thirty years. 4 in 9 years, hopefully 5 in 10. Prick.

Just when Liverpool were losing the invincibility tag and they started chucking excuses around, Jurgen Klopps mum has died. Feel sorry for him on a personal note but i wonder how it will compare with the reporting in the death of Pep's mum? Klopp will be given a get out of jail card for the rest of the season
Good. That gives us a head start

Stick a fork. I remember bringing this up tbh, not trying to be nostradamus but I told you this would happen.

... this is why its ludicrous when anyone suggests he's been the best coach in the world at any point in his managerial career.

The stench of hypocrisy when they signed alisson and van dijk was bad enough, considering his outpourings on the subject of big spending previously... raise the issue when they bang on about our spending and all you get is 'yeah but you've got 2 £50 mill players for every position coming back at you...

if he was as good as he's made out he could have spent the van dijk money on 2/3 players and not had to run the one player he did sign into the ground- whilst simultaneously doing the same to the rest of his central defence because he clearly doesn't trust any of the others they had on the books.

As for the 'keeper... not even taking last Sunday into account... did they really sign a 'keeper almost twice as good as the one we signed (Ederson £34.7 mill, alisson £66.8 mill)??... another £30 odd mill from the keeper tfr that could've been used towards outfield player(s) who could have been called on to give the 1st 11 a breather.

Just looked at our last game of the 2017-2018 season where we became centurions and the team we put out to compare.

Bravo - left
Danilo - left
Laporte - currently not first choice
Stones - first choice
Delph - left
Fernandinho - currently not first choice
Gundogan - first choice
De Bruyne - first choice
Silva - left
Sane - left
Sterling - first choice

We have four first choice players, two who aren't and the rest have left the club. Subs were Walker, Ederson, Jesus, Kompany, Zinchenko, Diaz and Foden. Of those two more have left. We have refreshed our squad kept on winning whereas the bus wrecking, feral unemployed lot haven't. We have the best manager and owners in the world whereas they have Klipperty and FSG
