VVD and Gomez injuries were part and parcel of football and can happen to anybody at any time but why is Klopp let off entirely from the fact he's ran certain players into the ground to the point where injury was inevitable?
He continually pushed Matip to play when he wasn't fully fit, a guy with a notoriously poor injury record. he's thrown fabinho in at the deep end with no rest numerous times after coming back from small injuries and he's done the same with Henderson since shifting him to CB. It's not as if they don't have other options, that Nat Phillips has been fit and the two new signings have barely had a look in since signing. When you're playing your best defensive options against a villa under 8's and keeping them on the pitch in games where the 3 points have been long since secured surely a large portion of the blame has to go to the manager for poor management?
Earlier in the season we had just stones and Dias, laporte and ake were out injured, Garcia too for parts of it yet Pep found a way of sparing them for 15 minutes here and there, giving them a rest in cup games playing the likes of walker there for periods to give them beneficial rest and keep them fit. Klopp has had opportunities to do it too and passed yet not a whisper about it.
