You cannot blame that on injuries. Even with a number of players out, they still have a better starting XI most games than the opposition they are facing.

I am genuinely concerned they won't make European competition next season. While this will be funny to many in the short-term, I think it negatively impacts City in the long-term. Their squad is not built for success across multiple competitions, especially with injuries. However, if they are only playing once a week next season, and have their missing players back, they are more than equipped for that, and would pose a threat to us. I want them to finish top 6.
It will negatively impact them for a lot longer than one season. Fans are not coming back any time soon, losing out on any european football would cost them hundreds of millions.

Their issues run a lot deeper than missing Van Dijk and Henderson, having them back is no guarantee of anything. This squad has run its course, plain and simple.

No one writes a post on there it seems.....they all treat it like some creative fucking writing platform for budding novelists.

twats.

They don't have "typical City" to fall back on. They endlessly fetishise their glorious istry, it's a mass psychosis, a sickness that allows them to blank out decades of mostly shite, while fixating on odd moments of glory.

This is why them finishing 5th/6th is preferable. They make next to nothing from Europa league games, so still lose £millions, but they have to play Thurs/Sun. Very few teams are successful with the EL schedule.

IMO Liverpool at full strength, and playing once a week are still a threat.

They're still in the CL and we all know what European royalty are capable of with the luck of the draw and the rub of the green!

I’ve heard Michael Owen talk some shit on pundit duty but do you think there is anything in his theory that Mane is refusing to go down in the box to deny Salah a penalty? Does seem strange he stayed on his feet last night and against Sheffield when he would normally throw himself to the ground first opportunity. I nearly pissed myself when he was described as “honest “ on each occasion

It's a shame that there is no crowd. They would still have been crap even with a full ground but it would be absolutely toxic as the fans turned on them and started sending out death threats and other hate mail to Klopp and his Kloggers.
Aye, there would be a slew of 'Primark Posse's' screaming threats outside Klipperty's gaff, like that shower from the Rags who were outside the Granny
Shagger's place when they thought we were after him/it/that, (choose
your own pronouns).

Unsurprisingly, they look jaded and legless. Having been really lucky with injuries for the previous 2 seasons, they've now had a bad run of injuries to key players. The squad is not deep enough to maintain the standard of their best 11 and some players are now being overplayed when they should be being rested.

Most of their their creativity/assists used to come from their full backs but defensive insecurity means that they can't bomb on as before - they have no creativity in midfield, hence no goals.

I expect they will come again once injuries heal and players get a decent rest.
