He's telling the fans what they want to hear. He's a fully fledged cultist at this point so I wouldn't get too upset with whatever words of wisdom come out of his overfilled gob.
This, this and only this. They want crap excuses with no scrutiny: He provides the excuses and the media don't scrutinise them.

you know when Villa battered them was that due to an injury crisis????

face it the signs where in place before Van Dijk got injured they where conceding for fun so he cannot just blame that for there pathetic collapse

klopp burnt them out playing the same team for 2 seasons without little rotation that is why they are not champions this season ? klopp built a team not for the long term but for the here and now and tomorrow can fuck off. you even seen it after they come back from covid-19 to finish the season they won the league. lucky they had enough points banked but on the come back took some beatings and city dicked them at the etihad

burn out is the worst thing a manager can do to his players. the long term damage is irreversible and cuts players careers short and can be finished by the age of 28/29

But that's exactly the sort of short-term profit-driven attitude that these owners have. Of course women's football is loss-making for big clubs right now. But the whole point is that we invest in it now and it will hopefully become a popular sport as it gets better. And if it does, us and Chelsea will be in pole position to take advantage, while the rags and dippers will still be relying on the historical achievements of the men's team to claim prestige. It'll be City players starring in the Champions League, World Cup or Olympics. It'll be City selling more kits to little girls. And if it never becomes that big, well let's be honest, it's all for the price of a squad player in the men's team.

To be fair, I think the rags have recognised this and that's why they seem a bit keener to make a go at it after years of not giving a shit. It still irritates me to hear them referred to as a big team though, as if the women's team has anything to do with the men's team. If anything, it shows a lack of respect for teams that have been successful in women's football for years.
I hate to say it but the WSL needs the likes of United and Liverpool to make it really successful. United have put a little in to start of the project but as we have seen with Liverpool, they haven‘t taken it as seriously as the likes of us, Chelsea and Arsenal which as led to their manager walking, complaining about infrastructure and being an aside to the clubs football business.

He’s right too. Difference is of course, Human Rights Abusers FC can just go out and dropp £100 mill on centre backs after failing to cope with losing 1 as happened last season.

Not to mention that Liverpool where also massively hampered by losing much of their midfield for long stretches. Never mind the disruption of having to use Fab and then Hendo in defence, but losing Thiago for months, then Hendo for the season, Keita again being made of glass, and Fab himself missing time as well.

What Liverpool have done last couple months to drag themselves out of this, is far more impressive than Abu Dhabi buying yet another souless league win.

my oh my,...they must love us....

This must be the most repulsive CL final pairing of all time. Two grotesque 'clubs' without any redeeming features whatsoever. Neither deserve to get their grubby paws on this trophy and the trophy doesn't deserve to be tainted by either of them lifting it. A sad state of affairs and living proof that cheats and criminals do tend to prosper.

Of course, I won't be watching, but I do hope that the original English Sportswash vehicle beats the newer one to the tainted trophy. An asteroid hit on both 'clubs' would be preferable but, failing that, Abu Dhabian tears and tantrums would be a most welcome sight.

There are no winners here though. Two grotesque reputation laundering vehicles vying to purchase and taint the game's greatest club trophy. It's a horrible sight for anyone who loves the game and cares about its welfare. An abomination of a final that UEFA must be ashamed of.

Liverpool Champions league 2021 sand pit.
I dislike the dippers so much that it's got to the point when I see one on a game show or quiz I want them to fail spectacularly like the twats have this year defending their title. We have one across the road albeit a plastic one and he is a real prick and I feel like punching him every time I speak to him. Do I need therapy?

THE HATE oh how i love the hate. one premier league title in 30 years and they think they are the bench mark

not one single club in the world would turn down sheikh mansour money ? the fact he picked manchester city over liverpool or united is to much for them to handle ? WHY go and buy little old manchester city when you can by history and the greatest club in the world

sheikh mansour wanted a fight and not to be hand given silverware. where is the fun in that ? he wanted to put one up them and its worth more than money invested in city ? watching them fall from grace is a joy to behold

its like watching the film trading places. the ending and the 1$ bet ? its not about the money but the joy in watching somebody fall on their arse

I work with a few. On Monday, one was saying that goals like their winner by Allison at weekend only happens to clubs like them and United.

I said; “What about Jimmy Glass, the Carlisle ‘keeper, scoring in injury time on the final day to keep them in the Football League? What about Watford saving a penalty on the second take then going up the other end and scoring a winner in the 97th minute to get to the Play-off final? What about Dickov in the Play-off final? What about Agüeroooooo!?”

The look on his face was like he’d never heard of any of these goals, and these are just four examples of probably hundreds from a wide variety of clubs.

They really do think they’re special, they really do think it means more to their club and them as fans. They’re a proper cult!

When Klopp first came to UK there were plenty of newspaper comments of his engaging personality and charisma.
He is many things but l don't think l am being unfair in saying l have seen very lille evidence of either quality.

TBF I think he was a pretty engaging guy with a decent sense of humour. He’s just gone native is all. Now he just sounds like any other whinging scouser.

It must be something that happens to people who join that stupid cult and disappears when they leave it.

Brenda is a fine example of this; he is nowhere near as dislikeable at Leicester, as he was during his time at Klanfield.
