I hope Madrid turn up on the weekend, can’t see it though. They didn’t like having the ball at the back when City pressed them, Liverpool will do exactly the same and force them into errors in their third of the pitch.

Liverpool do give chances away and Madrid are pretty clinical if they get a sniff on goal. Vinicius junior versus Alexander Arnold will be very interesting as it will either end up in a lot of space for Vinicius to run into or pinning Alexander Arnold back.

What the fucks he rambling on about. Offended by a londoner calling him Scouse. Wow. A new level of ‘offended by everything’

ive said it a million times, they are utter odd balls , a cult.

The English people in dipperland need to start showing tools like this what they think of them.

Fucking plastic Liverpool fans are doing my nut in. I've just had to pull up a decent lad online as I just got fed up with him posting shite about us. First it was a picture of our bus with no fans on the parade with one from when they won the European cup. Then he posted we spent 200 million this season. Told him 100 on Jack with 80 recouped through sales so actually only 20 million spent. Next it's " You've just spent 51 million on Halland and 31 million in fees". I told him don't forget the wages, then added 47 million for Diaz, what about his fees and wages or don't they count,? Honestly they're like fucking spoilt kids. This fucker is SIXTY is a Mancunian, lives in Baguely and I bet he's never been to Anfield in his life! He's a cracking bloke apart from being part of the cult, they're weird as fuck, obsessed with us.

I am Scouse and have no idea what he is moaning about?

Scouse was not used as an insult to the Irish. Scouse was a stew that the Scandinavian seamen ate and as they spent so much time in the city it became a popular dish here. It has nothing to do with Irish.

He says the Irish Catholics were targeted on their arrival here. Yes they were, as was the case in other cities they arrived. However, what he fails to mention is that their arrival caused a big divide in this city that went on for many years. My own father could recall seeing the parades from both religious sides and told me how stones would be thrown and fighting would break out (religion has a lot to answer for) But during that divide, Everton was the cub that Catholics supported and Liverpool was Protestant, and apart from a few small exceptions, this was the norm. So, his relatives were bluenoses. We do not hear Everton fans moaning the way that that lot do. If he is so upset by the word Scouse, why is he not upset at one of his clubs motto's ''Scouse Not English'? I mean, he should be going nuts at that one. Then again, most of their fans are from outside Liverpool so probably have no idea what Scouse is.

There are some decent reds fans and we all have our own idiots. But they have this portion who act like a clan. Not matter what the team wins this base is never happy. They have to seek assurance that they are the greatest ever. 'This Means More' ha ha, pathetic. It is a marketing ploy for their tourist fans. The 'Look At Us' attitude is beyond cringe and I know many reds who do not like it. The need to brag and try and belittle others is laughable. City have won 4 titles in the last 5 seasons. Yet no City fan has ever said to me that they have won all these titles and I am just bitter,or i support a small club, or told me they want my team relegated. Yet reds do, and they do it to others. The need to be the best is shocking, and this is why so many fans of other clubs dislike them, and not because of some stew that sailors brought here. I know reds fans who are embarrassed by some of the actions of the cult acting part of their fan base. They have a very good team, but they also have more than their fair share of strange fans

No city is perfect, we all have our problems. I am not arsed where anyone is from. I am more arsed if they are an idiot or not. I laugh off most of the skits about Scousers, but I do get bored by the Harry Enfield jokes still doing the rounds lol. I would welcome anyone here...Just don't call me a bowl of stew laaar.

Buena Suerte Real Madrid

I think the whole Uber Scouse thing has got worse over the years and as a blue I never feel the need to tell anyone how scouse I am. Like you say the word comes from a stew dish from Scandinavia so I have no idea how it is perceived as an insult.
I come from a Catholic mother / Protestant father background and we were never brought up with prejudices regarding religion etc. Even as a kid my grandad took us to both stadiums as was often the norm. The hatred generally ramps up around times of the Derby and though most of my good mates are Blue through going the game, my brother is a Red.[/QUOTE]

Having the misfortune to have to go over to the principality of self-pity frequently, this is their latest thing - they are trying to make Scouse like the N word (yes that's how self invested and unaware they are), where only Scouse can say Scouse. Even though it's just a fcking disgusting meal.

Can we just call them cunts then? (and it's a fucking grim meal. Anything that requires pickled red cabbage just to make it taste close to acceptable is to be swerved at all costs).

Two great posts. I worked for Bibby tankers that was based in Liverpool and also the Isle of Man steam packet company. I sailed with loads of great scouse lads, most were Evertonians and I still.keep.in touch with some. One of my grandmother's was originally from Scotland road before they moved to Manchester when a child, her mother owned a paper shop there, Flanagan's I think it was called. Unfortunately she died when I was about five so I never got to chat to her about growing up there.

On the Steam packet I was the only Manc onboard but even the Liverpool fans respected me for being a City fan as we weren't very good to say the least back then in the eighties. Now we're winning things we're suddenly plastic, or glory hunters, which is a surprise as we also have no fans lol. It's a nonsense.

We have our own version of scouse called potato ash which is basically the same dish, sometimes with corned beef in it, I had it a lot as a kid.
