Online it became the most engaged club in the Premier League, with 1.43bn engagements across all social channels. In total it has more than 100m followers, with 30m on Instagram, 20m on Twitter and more than 4m on TikTok.

If grammar rules allowed there to be a superlative of superlatives, that lot of herberts would be 'The greatest of the greatest' at everything.

As for it being 'the greatest 0-0 final of all time', well I wouldn't know about that as I haven't watched them for years, apart from whenever they play us.

And whenever anything comes on the TV or radio to do with that lot of brick-throwing, computer-hacking, train-wrecking, programme-seller-bashing, jibbing-in, european-competition-banning load of self-entitled tossers, I immediately reach for the 'Off' button..
 
Fuck me if this dippers team is winning quad this season, i will be off from any football related social media for many months if that ever happen.

Where was all this fanfare when we won the fucker four times in a row?

I don't know how much I can blame the scum kopite cunts for these articles other than the fact they buy into this shit as opposed to extremely biased and shoddy reporting from the BBC.

If they care so much about being impartial on the news, why can't they put the same effort into their sports reporting?
 
I don't recall the Football media hype when City did the domestic quadruple in 1 season. Bar Pep doing it, no manger in the long history of English Football has ever done it.

Klopp has just won 1 trophy. Yet all the chatter across Football and Social Media is now about Liverpool doing the quadruple. Sorry, the 'proper' quadruple.
 
I’ve seen and heard of whitewashing, greenwashing, and sports washing, but the level of REDwashing going on in the media is nauseating.

City win it 4 times in a row and it’s a domestic tin cup!

Liverpool play Chelsea to a 0-0 stalemate that comes down to ZERO keepers making a save for 21 penalties, then one of them skying his penalty… et voila!

“Best final EVER!”
“Best back up keeper in the world!”
“The Quad is on!”

Can’t make this shit up!

City, Liverpool, and Chelsea all having good seasons.

City had long winning run after poor start and strolling into CL last 8, plus should win 4th Round FA Cup game this week. On course for Treble.

Liverpool have won Carabao Cup and are second in League and should be in CL last 8. Chance of winning everything.

Chelsea won CL last season, and won Club World Cup, while losing Carabao on pens after they should have easily won. CL last 8 looks like a lock, too, even if 3rd in PL is best they can realistically expect.

I’d say all 3 clubs have something to crow about this season, but NONE of the actual big prizes are anywhere close to won yet.

However, if you only read the media, you’d believe Chelsea are best team in the world, Liverpool are springloaded to win all the big silverware, and City are on the wane, even though they’re the Bookies favorites for the CL, the PL AND the FA Cup!!!
 
I'm sick of the way the media licks Liverpool's arse.
But then again, the media in this country are 99% Establishment lickspittles. It's just that in most areas, most people are so used to it they don't even notice the abject fawning.
Liverpool FC just happen to be part of the football Establishment. In that sense, they are like 'royalty' and they get the same boot-licking deference.
It's all part of life in this country of serfs.

Chelsea played brilliantly in patches but couldn't make the killer blow. But you have to give LFC credit for their resilience. Whatever people say about Klopp I think he is a great manager just as he was at Dortmund. His teams can always come back off the ropes. They are incredibly resilient.
I think it's a shame that most fans (including myself and most on this board) are sometimes unable to respect qualities in rival teams. We are all witnessing a fantastic era in English football. City, Chelsea, and Liverpool are fantastic teams (with totallly different styles) playing incredible football. We should just lap it up and ignore the bitterness fuelled by the media. Don't forget we had to win 14 matches on the bounce to clinch the title by one point from Liverpool in 2019. I doubt anyone will ever see that happen again.

I don't think anyone can't appreciate how good they are, but when it's overhyped in comparison to another (your own) team then it's pretty hard to clap them when they do something. When City comeback from 12 points behind to win the league, it's completely different to how Liverpool achieved it. When we win the league cup over and over, it's seen as an annoyance. They are the media darlings and its just disproportionate to exactly HOW good they are in direct comparison to their nearest rivals.
