The dippers will only be missing Salah and Mane for 2 PL games.. Brentford (h) and Palace (a).. probably won’t make any difference

Maybe not in those two, but they won’t exactly be fresh playing X amount of games, three in the groups & both look likely to qualify, if they go long it’ll be Feb when they return. The disappointment or ecstasy of a tournament can have a lasting effect, as well as the travel & covid regs, and it’s that Liverpool will be worried about. Imagine being at the tournament watching your teammates lose another game, that can be demotivating. CL games start second week of feb too so no rest for them two
