Littlewoods actually had both teams
But invested more in Liverpool and then decided to spend more on Everton than Liverpool
I know they did, up until the time that individuals/companies could only own one club, following Robert Maxwell owning both Derby and Oxford, and making some extremely dodgy deals between the two, including dean Saunders.

At that time, if not before, Littlewoods had to choose one.

Correct regarding the regulations but..

John Moores was a very canny operator, overseeing investment in both clubs between the late 50s and early 60s, including (a) the huge amounts of money to buy Yeats and St John for Liverpool, a struggling 2nd Division club; and (b) the £50+k personal loan given to Everton by Moores, together with a personal promissory note to underwrite Everton's additional transfer funding for at least the next five years.

But not only that, Moores tidied up his personal and family financial affairs to enable him to hand over the reins of Littlewoods to his brother, while taking personal control as Chair at Everton.

At the same time, Moores engineered the arrival on to the board at Liverpool of his longstanding friend and colleague Eric Sawyer, who was Littlewoods' Chair. Sawyer was key to the success in bringing in the top players such as Yeats and St John that Shankly had identified.

For sure, Moores pulled lots of strings at both clubs, especially in the late 50s/early 60s..

They are rapidly becoming the rags - they cannot let Salah go they need him so will give in to his demands or lose him to a knock down fee'.........you can't let a club become one player - we haven't hence rotation hence false 9 - Salah will be Ronaldo if he stays
