I see the club of all clubs who do things in the right way and would never splash the cash because they are one of the common people........ are about to fork out £65m on one player. Oh the irony.
Think it does smack of desperation. they have known what was coming (AFCON) for ages and so no reason why cover wasnt sorted earlier. Anyone selling knows that and can name their price.
If we could get him cheaper I would be tempted to take a (big) punt on Eze from Palace if a reasonable price could be agreed.

Exactly.

Klopp going on about he wouldn't spend money on players even if he had the money.

Eddie shoestring he most certainly is not :)
They bought Andy Carroll for £36.9m and Christian Benteke for £41.8m (combined £78.7m)

Around the same era as City signed Sergio Agüero for £35m and Edin Džeko for £27m (combined £62m).

Proper skint Liverpool, can’t compete with us money-wise.

VVD in the (City obsessed) Liverpool Echo.

Apparently we are lucky - according to the "great" Vergil Van Dijk
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/van-dijk-man-city-liverpool-25890460

We played without 5-6 first teamers vs Spurs: Walker, Laporte, Rodri, Foden, Bernardo, KDB... Nobody complained about that back then. Stones, KDB and Foden have missed many games so far, Walker missed over 3 weeks recently, Rodri had covid, etc. etc.

It's good that they are making excuses, though. They are less likely to compete with a mindset like that.

Just don't understand the mousers mindset. We've played 21 and are 10 points ahead of Chelsea, who've played the same number.

liverpoo have played 20 and currently 11 points behind us. If they win the game in hand, they'll be in 2nd place and 8 points behind us.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we'll drop points, though I don't think we'll drop many. The mentality monsters surely use that as motivation to chase the deficit.

We've been here, against untied and the mousers (twice;-))). With us breathing down their necks they were found wanting. Remember the joint champions whining???? FFS.

This points to a real lack of belief on Bingo's part, that his team can't keep pace, when the chips are down. Their wages and annual turnover are similar to City's yet their squad looks weaker. At least we've learned to secure our scouting database!

Tonight showed they are the modern version of Wimbledon + Salah.

Without Salah they would be shite.

Hoof, hoof, hoof!

Their back 4 is all over the place. They don’t have a midfield. And up front everything revolves around Salah. They rely on the manic press for 60 minutes before fading.(replenish those inhalers you c*nts!)
