They cant bring shame on the city as 98% of the fuckers arnt from the City. They cause chaos and destruction then piss off back to Ireland, London, Middlesex, Oslo, Plymouth and Lohore!

They are nothing more than a brand, a product, to which these sad twats attach themselves and for which the media and other leeches milk them for every penny.

They attacked a neutral section packed with families and middle-aged people. Most of them were not even wearing colours. More than one third of the victims were over 40. Many were just ex-pat Italians who lived in the Brussels area and just wanted to see the match. The LFC fans attacked again and again but were held back by the police otherwise more people would have died in the panic. The Italians at that end of the ground did not retaliate they ran away. The Ultras were at the other end. It was the most despicable act ever carried out by any set of fans (certainly in Europe). That is the reality but Liverpool fans have always been in denial.
Part of the problem with Hillsborough (where LFC fans were definitely not in the wrong) is that so many people were willing to think the worst of their fanbase because of what had happened before. They were happy to lap up the despicable fake news stories vilifying their fans which were put out by the tabloids at the behest of political forces. The two events were totally different but have become conflated over time. Now it is almost impossible to have a sensible conversation about these incidents. It is just too toxic.

This is very true. I remember Hillsborough unfolding on live TV and myself included the reaction was fuck -the scousers are at it again giving football a bad name

I hardly think Griselda Rudd or anyone who supports the club she does is in a position to lecture others about fan behaviour.

It’s because they want us relegated at all costs. They said nothing about Forest, when a player got injured, or Port Vale but our fans invade the pitch and suddenly it’s a tragedy?

From our point of view mate its so annoying when they do something that its the city of Liverpool that gets the comeback, with "scousers" taking the flack. Yes they have a few local supporters but most are not.

I know its easy to do as I see it a lot on here, instead of the fans or club its "scousers" this or "the scousers" that. When in reality its not, its the Liverpool fans. Of course they will have a few scouse scumbags, like you will have your local scumbags. But its like me calling Utd fans "mancs" and forming my opinion of the city based on their actions, when in reality 95% of them arnt even from anywhere near Manchester.

Absolutely this .

The rags and dipper fanbases are bloated by " supporters " who share the same gloryhunting genes and are detested by genuine supporters of other teams.

But they are the godsends for the whores in the media , and they sell themselves very cheaply indeed.

You get those on (my) side who fail to acknowledge and "own it" who by their actions incite the hostility and astonishment from other clubs fans.

It really is not that complicated. Behave in the same respectful and dignified way towards the victims of Heysel as you do towards the victims of Hillsborough. Doing so would - for most - go a long way to removing the stench of decades of shame-faced hypocrisy.

Fully agree with this. Most City fans know that there is a huge difference. We just need to start distinguishing between the feral wankers that attach themselves to Liverpool compared to the supporters of Everton.

When its the Evertonians you can probably bet they are "scousers" 95% of the time as its the core fanbase, where as Liverpool "scousers" form about 5%.

Bit of an insult to Forest, that. I mean, I know he's German but Brian Clough is one of England's most famous managers for a reason.

Most Everton fans I know are either actual Scousers or, like me, have family who are Everton fans and got into them that way. (My local team are the rags. I wish I was joking.)
