How fucking thick is everyone connected to that football club? I can explain it point-by-point from my living room.

Liverpool fans turned up without tickets or with fake tickets.
They were refused entry so stormed the gates and turnstiles.
This meant all gates and turnstiles were closed to the rest of the Liverpool fans outside.
Some of them took it upon themselves to climb over gates and walls to get in (here are videos ALL-FUCKING-OVER showing scenes of this happening) which caused the authorities to disperses the crowd with tear gas.
You can see by the swell of fans in the Liverpool end on tier one just how many fans had got in and just plonked themselves in that tier. The aisles were chock-a-block, while the upper tiers had empty seats.

And low and behold the French authorities and UEFA have confirmed this is what happened. Yet our fucking media and their cretinous club and disgusting fanbase are deflecting this in every way possible to make sure they don’t get the blame.
That's pretty much the way it's being reported over here and by people who were actually there.

Some wilful "naivety" on the part of the English press. Some pointers.

1) if you haven't got a ticket but intend to jib into the ground, carry a forgery. That way, you get through any outer checks and to the actual turnstyle before being turned away.

2) Turn up late in the hope that the rush to get in will lead to laxer security (and see 3 below)

3) Turn up late and en masse so that the pressure on security leads to fears of impending disaster outside the ground and the gates might be thrown open for crowd-safety reasons. There is also zero chance of you being arrested for trying to jib in as part of a mob.

4) when your ticket is rejected you can claim to have paid £1,000 for it thus a) attaining victim status and b) you might be admitted out of sympathy.

The French police may have been heavy-handed and some innocents may have been caught up in it, that's an inevitable consequence of disorderly behaviour, but if anyone thinks that an attempt to reason with feral fans intent on storming the ground would have worked, they are sadly mistaken.

Having a parade with no League title or European cup to show off is also not appropriate.
Not just any parade, it’s being called a ‘Victory Parade’.

That particular definition must only apply when you’ve drawn two finals, lost on the much bigger occasion (after failing to score for a third time) and failed in your primary objective of winning the league for the 31st time in 32 attempts.

Straight to Rwanda with them!

Think there are a lot of elements at play here, but I will say there is a big section of society who since the pandemic ended have become pretty lawless at these big events....

As others have said, I'm somewhat relieved we didn't get there and that fellow blues didn't get caught up in this crap.

Klopp encouraging supporters without tickets to go to Paris was idiotic though. Not sure if he's just naive or just doesn't care.

Liverpool are the shame of this country. Nobody likes them, nobody respects them, everybody thinks they’re feral scum…yet the media lander to their hordes like they’re royalty or a protected group of people. It’s the most nauseating thing in the sport. It’s disgusting from the media.
They were bragging about fake tickets on social media and there were loads of posts advertising the sale of such. On top of that Bingo was openly encouraging ticketless fans to travel to Paris. But this is some how UEFA's fault and the French police for being 'heavy handed' when they knew this is EXACTLY it would play out?

They’re obviously calling for an investigation because that’s what their worshippers would expect…but there’s a fair few at that club sitting very uncomfortably this morning knowing their little scheme (that probably started with just a few tickets for the few) has grown into a monster, players families tickets being duplicated is a serious breach and not one that can be explained away. I fully expect Uefa to get on board with the Mickeys & sweep this under the carpet mutually, but their fans won’t let it drop everyone knows that, I hope the paper trail leads right back to em

Like Rodgers he's the problem by pandering to the over emotional overgrown babies that their fanbase consists of. "Unleash the crowd!" "This means more!" Etcetera. Klopp is a bigger problem as he's as unhinged as the majority of them.
It’s all done to paper over the fact that he’s only won 4 trophies in 7 years

Charactitistics of a cult

  • The group is focused on a living leader to whom members seem to display excessively zealous, unquestioning commitment.
  • The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.
  • Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.
  • Mind-numbing techniques (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, debilitating work routines) are used to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s).
  • The leadership dictates sometimes in great detail how members should think, act, and feel.
  • leaders may prescribe what types of clothes to wear.
  • The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s), and members (for example: the leader is considered the Messiah or an avatar; the group and/or the leader has a special mission to save humanity).
  • The group has a polarized us- versus-them mentality, which causes conflict with the wider society.
  • The group's leader is not accountable to any authorities (as are, for example, military commanders and ministers, priests, monks, and rabbis of mainstream denominations).
  • The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify means that members would have considered unethical before joining the group (for example: collecting money for bogus charities).
  • The leadership induces guilt feelings in members in order to control them.
  • Members' subservience to the group causes them to cut ties with family and friends, and to give up personal goals and activities that were of interest before joining the group.
  • Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group.
  • Members are encouraged or required to live and/or socialize only with other group members
Sounds like the Tories
