I see the tramps have ‘reluctantly’ agreed to play the national anthem at Anfield this weekend. Why do they see themselves as different to everyone else and not mark a moment in history for the country? They were more than happy to take furlough money off the government during covid, I don’t see how they can view themselves as morale crusaders standing up to the establishment with the double standards they display.

They're not moral crusaders, they're fucking knobs with the political intelligence of a particularly dim sixth former. Screaming "TORY" at anything they don't like is pretty much their level. As for booing the anthem, couldn't give a shit if they do or not, but it's a nice stick to twat them with when they accuse anyone else of being disrespectful.

On their official website - a statement that basically says they will accept the behaviour of those that show no respect.

Expect all pitch side microphones to be turned down.

  • CORONATION: Before kick-off and in recognition of the Premier League’s request to mark the coronation, players and officials will congregate around the centre circle when the national anthem will be played. It is, of course, a personal choice how those at Anfield on Saturday mark this occasion and we know some supporters have strong views on it.
