It's all because of their owners' lack of investment seems to be the consensus amongst dippers. Not that their £85 million striker failed to score again, or the best CB, LB and RB in the world shipped two goals against a relegation threatened team. Or that the best DM couldn't cover them, or the best creative midfielder couldn't create any chances. At least Salah scored though.

I remember TAA saying something along the lines of "I'm not being funny, but I've won a CL and Foden hasn't". Which may be true, but it struck me at the time as something about that Liverpool team's mentality. Once you've won everything, what's the point. I think the CL/League failure is less of an issue, and more that the whole team thinks they've completed football. Foden, bless him, wants to win the league every year, not just win everything once.
Paul Lambert has won the Champions League. And Djimi Traore.

At least Salah scored though.

The elephant in the room for their fans is that they genuinely did go toe to toe with us a couple of weeks ago and looked like their old selves. Are they ever going to ask why klopp and their aging overpaid squad can't be arsed turning up for the other 36 league fixtures?
They didn't though for me. At anfield they actually sat back and tried to hit us on the break. It worked but they played like a lower division cup team
