"You defended Suarez, it wasn't his fault".
"39 killed at Heysel, but it wasn't your fault".

Makes it clear then.

Or maybe we could come up with a song based on the Pet Shop Boys' 'Domino Dancing' but using 'Tragedy Chanting'.
“You’re so vain, you probably think this song is about Hillsborough.”

“You’re so vain, you probably think this song is about Hillsborough.”

I think that’s the song but leave it as “you.”

It can be our dirty secret that the world of football laughs about, they want to dictate what we sing so every time they hear it, they know it means always the victim.

It says it all, always making it about them & surely they can’t complain about singing a Carly Simon classic.

I don’t see how it could be an enforceable law in any way, unless someone was expressly prohibited from actually singing the words ‘Hillsborough’ or ‘Heysel’ in a song.

What are they going to do, provide a schedule with prohibited songs? How the fuck does that work? What if supporters changed the words slightly? Would thpp ere be lobbying as the whether ‘always the victims’ should be in there? What would the basis be for making that song illegal to sing? What if the person charged said he was singling ‘victim’, not ‘victims’. How are the prosecution going to prove that? Or are they going to widen the scope to include singular and plural?

It would be an absolute abortion.
Can we not get you'll never walk alone banned at our stadium as its offensive to those in wheelchairs and others with limited mobility?

We've grounded them down so much over the years to the point that they fully expect us to win the league from here on out.
A few years ago the refrain was that we don’t have the mental resolve to see a season out because we were a team full of mercenaries.

That ended well.

Wasnt it this very season The Wall Pusher fans were singing about the IRA and the Queens death. 6 months ago. Is this not tragedy chanting. God forbid and half decent journalist bring this up.
They seem to find the death of 39 Juventus supporters some how funny at Anfield by looks of it. But they seem to get upset when other club’s supporters remind them what they did.

Again we need to separate Scouce from LFC, fact is the vast majority of their support is not from Liverpool, and forums like RAWK most members are not from Liverpool, they are the needy ones who need to cling on to an identity, and the scouce identity is quite unique really (there is a slight persecution complex I must admit) having watched forum like RAWK for a number of years I am convinced that the LFC attracts people with who have very low self esteem and a need to belong to something, years ago it would have been some church or other

Why couldn't they have joined the Davidian Seventh Day Adventist Church or the Jonestown Peoples' Temple?

Will never be able to fathom how Liverpool fans could so gleefully sing and chant about the IRA considering the IRA murdered two innocent children just down the road from Liverpool in Warrington.
