There's never any recognition from them that they could possibly be in the wrong. No acknowledgement that people singing a song aren't remotely thinking about Hillsborough when they sing it. No thought of putting their own house in order before demanding people accede to their emotional blackmail.

Manchester Maine Road derby was on that day. One of the early kick-offs after the 1989 scuffles!

That's right Dippers, never mind all the worthwhile, needy causes in the World today - you make dicks of yourselves by focusing in your vile, entitled selves.
 
Not once does the word Hillsborough gets used in the song that upsets those sensitive souls at Clanfield. What they fail to - or don't want to - acknowledge is that the song is highlighting the sheer bare-faced hypocrisy of their fan base who have always been quick to deny Heysel was their fault and they are being victimised whenever it is mentioned.

We'll stop singing it when they finally acknowledge that they had a massive part to play in that tragedy. But we all know that will never happen.

That would do the job.

Mostly though, I liked the suggestion, earlier in this thread, about a 39th minute round of applause in memory of the Heysel victims. Simple, dignified and not at all open to misinterpretation.

A few miles down the road, he was cut up at a roundabout, and shouted at the driver, "Fucking wanker!"

Fucking hell are liverpool playing liverpool tonight? Listened to the first 25 mins of the pre match show on talk shite on the way home and it was ALL about the dippers. Personally I would have thought Leeds’ battle against relegation was more important than the dippers attempt to get into the europa conference league or maybe that’s just me
