Will never be able to fathom how Liverpool fans could so gleefully sing and chant about the IRA considering the IRA murdered two innocent children just down the road from Liverpool in Warrington.
There's never any recognition from them that they could possibly be in the wrong. No acknowledgement that people singing a song aren't remotely thinking about Hillsborough when they sing it. No thought of putting their own house in order before demanding people accede to their emotional blackmail.

Manchester Maine Road derby was on that day. One of the early kick-offs after the 1989 scuffles!

Take a look at the rawk Irish politics thread - 38% of the kuntz support Sinn Fein/IRA.

HyKOPrites.

Looks like the owners don't have stump up for Bellingham afterall

They can rely on the loyal fanbase;-)

only £129,999,800 to go
That's right Dippers, never mind all the worthwhile, needy causes in the World today - you make dicks of yourselves by focusing in your vile, entitled selves.

Not once does the word Hillsborough gets used in the song that upsets those sensitive souls at Clanfield. What they fail to - or don't want to - acknowledge is that the song is highlighting the sheer bare-faced hypocrisy of their fan base who have always been quick to deny Heysel was their fault and they are being victimised whenever it is mentioned.

We'll stop singing it when they finally acknowledge that they had a massive part to play in that tragedy. But we all know that will never happen.

Someone should remind them that Liverpool FC was founded not just by a Tory, but an Orangeman to boot!

I think that’s the song but leave it as “you.”

It can be our dirty secret that the world of football laughs about, they want to dictate what we sing so every time they hear it, they know it means always the victim.

It says it all, always making it about them & surely they can’t complain about singing a Carly Simon classic.
That would do the job.

Mostly though, I liked the suggestion, earlier in this thread, about a 39th minute round of applause in memory of the Heysel victims. Simple, dignified and not at all open to misinterpretation.

A mate has just picked up his new car.

The sales rep. at the dealership told him that the car is so hi-tech that if you say the name of an artiste, it will start playing their songs.

"Wow!" he thought, "that sounds great," and he said, "The Beatles". Sure enough, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds started.

"Rolling Stones," and Brown Sugar began.

A few miles down the road, he was cut up at a roundabout, and shouted at the driver, "Fucking wanker!"

With that, he heard, When You Walk Through A Storm…

Was it a 1960's car?

Fucking hell are liverpool playing liverpool tonight? Listened to the first 25 mins of the pre match show on talk shite on the way home and it was ALL about the dippers. Personally I would have thought Leeds’ battle against relegation was more important than the dippers attempt to get into the europa conference league or maybe that’s just me
