Hoping his departure has a similar effect on the dippers, to the effect the GPC’s departure (part time) has had on the rags…
I am surprised that bluemoon has not got a special section with a book of condolence and discount vouchers giving money off candles at B&M for the grief monkeys…

Shame on you Ric!!

I know there's a lot of piss-taking in here on the subject but I imagine the reason for the resignation actually is having to compete with Pep for so long. It isn't just at Liverpool but they crossed paths in Germany as well.

Before Pep turned up in Germany his Dortmund side had won 2 of the last 3 Bundesliga titles and lost to Bayern in the CL final in 12/13.

In Pep's first season (13/14) they finished 19 points behind in 2nd Bayern and lost in the CL QF.

In Pep's second season (14/15) they finished 33 points behind Bayern in 7th(!) and only 11 ahead of the relegation zone.

Klopp resigned that year and rocked up to Liverpool in 15/16, only to be followed to England by Pep in 16/17.

In the 8 completed seasons at Liverpool he's managed to finish above Pep once, and finished a demoralisingly close 2nd on two other occasions.

His 22/23 Liverpool resembled his 14/15 Dortmund in a number of ways and I was actually surprised he didn't resign last year.

So in 9 completed seasons against Pep he's won 1 league title (Pep has won 7) and has seen his Dortmund team completely destroyed and his Liverpool team sputter to a turgid 5th last year.

Can you imagine what that has done to a man who is a genuinely very good manager?

Pep has absolutely destroyed him.

And isn't it beautiful.

He finished below Pep in all but one (COVID ridden) season.
He won less fa cups than pep
He won less league cups than pep.
In no statistical measure other than sheer number of teeth and long balls did he beat pep.
He also spent a fucking fortune. World record goalie, world record defender, 80 million on Nunez. And this famous rebuild...172 million euros on four midfielders. Good grief.

Sky sports getting the scouse wankfest going.
Two programmes about klopp following eachother.

Its almost like he's been at Liverpool for 30 years and has passed away.

The outpouring of grief and sadness, get to fuck.
This news is perfect for SSN as it makes up for a very quiet January window.
