Strange that the stupid **** didn't mention that over the course of the 5 seasons after moving to East Manchester (with the increased capacity the new ground gave us) but prior to being taken over by AD, Eastlands had a higher average attendance than that recorded at the victimdrome... despite the fact that City were skint, shit and generally around the lower reaches of mid-table / towards the relegation places - at a time when Victims FC were fighting for top 4 and even the league in one of those seasons. Jesus wept... that period even includes about 18 months under the stewardship of Pearce.
They love to paint us as this 'no fans and anyone who does turn up is a glory hunter' club... of my circle of City supporting friends / family) (circa 35) I fall into the category of 'shortest tenure as a City ST holder' group, because I've only had mine for 34 years.
The season prior to Abu Dhabi we had an average of 42,126 - which reflects a largely sold out ground bar the away allocation ... so presumably, when "Abu Dhabi fuck off" the 11,123 extra who made up the increase in average attendance (when comparing last season's average (53,249) with that of the last season pre AD), in an extended capacity ground, are 'worms' who will 'crawl back under their rocks'... BUT... apparently those 11,123 people don't even exist - they MUST be the ones where HRH is buying up all the seats himself via various proxies...
