100% correct.

I just don't get the timing, I don't buy into the theory that this would galvanise the team and spur them on to wanting to send him off with the PL title in the bag.

I am leaning more towards something is playing out behind the scenes and that thus is a delection to take all the attention away from the team. As if the scenario were to unfold that the dippers capitulate but are not questioned as the the reason would be klopp leaving as its cause

At a guess - it was going to be leaked (possibly by another club who's manager has been sorted approached to replace the saber-toothed one).

They took the proactive approach to try and 'control' the situation I imagine..........

I don't expect any other clubs to do us a favour by taking points off the dippers.
I would rather we continue to do what we are doing and take care of them at anfield.
Nothing they can do to stop us other than beating us on their own patch and I don't think they will.
Nothing will be better than winning the league by 1 point and those fuckers crying over the offside that never was and candles burning in memory of what might have been.
