You gave Arne Slot no chance of being 8 points clear in December be honest

City have won the league 4 times in a row. They can’t win it every year and in the years they don’t Liverpool or Arsenal will currently be favourites to do so.

The expectation would be that City win it next season while Liverpool fight for a CL place.

Tbh, you seem a bit overexcited about things. We’ve won the league 4 times in a row and 6 times in 7 seasons. It should be Arsenal fans you’re goading rather the most dominant domestic English side of all time.

This is an annihilation and will remain so even if you win the league this season. :)

I thought we’d have a really bad start so I expected to be behind like most seasons. I thought we’d struggle for points in the first month & we got a maximum return then the injuries caught up. So to answer your question, I didn’t think of Arsenal, Dippers or Chelsea, it matters not who it is to me but I did expect to be behind someone.

Look at our results this time last year, we dropped 11 pts in 7 games & we followed it up with 18 wins & 3 draws.

You thought we would have a huge drop off after Klopp left to be fair. So not sure you really know what’s going to happen

There was quite a large amount on here who felt Liverpool would have little to no drop off when Klopp left.

I always said he was a popular manager but not a great one. He got the people and the club but ultimately didn’t have the bottle for the big occasion.

A few pen shoot out
Spurs in a final
City having a bad season

Where his highlights, I think Slot will do better for you.

I don't think it's worth arguing with a dipper over whether Pep has done enough to be a great. It's clear as day he has already re-built the squad several times. Give or take there have been around 50 players who have won the title at City under Pep in his time with us. That's a shit load. He's overseen a lot of change in that time. Hart-Kompany-Yaya-Silva-Aguero was the core of the side under Mancini and Pellegrini and Pep has seen that completely change. We've seen a lot of critical players come and go and he didn't even bother replacing Aguero he just changed how we played.

You'd say De Bruyne, Bernardo, Gundo, Rodri and Walker have been critical to our success under Pep more recently. He won the league last year with De Bruyne injured for most of the season and Gundo at Barcelona. Walker is so critical to us he didn't start the CL final we won. De Bruyne so critical he came off in the CL final and we still won it.

Any question mark or criticism anyone has he has answered. It's the end of the road for a few now, but it would be a very silly person to question if Pep can re-build this squad given what he did when he first came in and what it has then led to.

I class a rebuild as filling a squad with at least 80% of your own signings. Then once that team has run its course changing up it up again with probably 80% new faces and doing the business again.

You seen the team from pep second season from his first season?
