Liverpool Thread | 2024/25

Here's the list mate, I ain't working it out but it looks like big chin must have been locked in the klanfield dressing room he was there forever and a day :)
I have a passing interest in Ian Rush as he married the ex wife of the man that owns the bar I go into. I'd say she's half his age and a right stunner.
I live close to a Chelsea footballing legend from the 60's , 70's era and recently who arrived with him into the village pub but Rush and Lampard with their misses. Rush and Lampard came across as nice guys and kept to themselves.

IMHO Rush comes across as a man from a different era when the football club and fans weren't ramped with cunts.

His replacement Aldridge heralded the change from gentleman to pissed up fence jumpers.

Aldridge is both bitter and deluded.
I think he only played for liverpool for a year or two and is up there with phil thompson as "liverpool prick of the century"
Most of the liverpool players around the 70's and 80's seemed sound enough but thompson and aldridge seem to have chip's on their shoulders.
Disappointing to see players who hasd so much success behaving like that.

Met Rush a few times when I still lived in NW. Earliest time when he was still an apprentice of a guy that my old man was friendly with, as both in painting line. Later on some of the players used to frequent the odd pub close to me. Oh for the days when players actually socialised without the fear of having a mobile phone catching every indiscretion. Always down to earth and decent bloke.
Have to admit one time I was in "Aldo's" company briefly, he was a bit of a tosser.
