Annoyingly, Kerkez is a tremendous buy. I'd take him for £40m over Ait-Nouri for £31m every day of the week, has a much higher ceiling imo. Improves them a fair bit already and future proofs them. Disappointing to see.

Still making the most from the Coutinho money after all those years. But if it was us buying those players, then it would be classed as outrageous spending.

They've both played plenty of football before this month for similarly middling premier league teams to form an opinion on them. It's an opinion I had 6 months ago before any sniff of movement for either player so why would that suddenly change just because the person who I rate more highly has ended up at a rival?
