The position of the defenders is irrelevant as to whether he's offside or not. It's the position of the ball, from that angle you can't be certain if he's behind or in front of the ball, but he may well be on side.

You can’t tell from the photos unless taken directly parallel. I assume var decided the goal scorer was behind the ball when it was played forward.

Mixed feelings about this. Much as I delight in watching internal conflict at liverpool, I have a feeling the club are engineering the situation to welch on the ridiculously expensive and damaging contract they awarded him and pick up a fee at the same time. Yeah don't forget Konate too who plays for the opposition every game and clearly doesn't give a shit in the final year of his contract but still plays every game.

Yep vvd turns his back on every shot. Hasn't got the balls to block a shot head on. He did it again for the second goal turned his back and made a half hearted attempt to block the shot, then threw his arms in the air when it went in.

I'm behind Salah here. It's clear he loves to play football but is being deprived of this opportunity. OK, he gets paid £400k a week but he has to pay tax on that, and with inflation being what it is it's hardly going to touch the sides. Particularly as when he sits on the bench he has to pay for his own snacks whereas the players who participate in the match get free drinks and energy bars. That all adds to the cost.

My understanding is that Liverpool footballers spend 12-15 hours per week doing intense training such as running and practice matches. That's outrageous. Yes I know there are folks working in factories 45 hours a week but those lazy bastards are just carrying heavy things about all day and trying not to get crushed to death by industrial machines whereas Salah has to run, do weights and kick a ball for an average of 3 hours a day, eat whatever food they have prepared for him (poor bugger can't even go for a cheeky KFC he has to eat that healthy shite they provide) and at the end of the week he doesn't even get to play in the match!

I think if Salah contacted one of those no win no fee employment lawyers he'd have a great chance of claiming constructive dismissal.
