Throwback to when Mo Salah beat up a young Everton fan and forced him to wear a Liverpool shirt.

Imagine if we'd signed a playmaker for £110 and he'd got 3 assists in nearly a full season ...heck Foden has the same and his career is finished apparently ....this is more like an end of term report where the teacher doesn't want to say anything negative despite the performance being being poor ....even had the cheek to compare him to David Silva , just needs to be stronger , faster and show more intent .. in other words he just needs to be David Silva ...

to be honest, i'd write Viana a letter of congratulations if we signed a playmaker for £110.... ;)

I think Wirtz is a pretty nifty player, i think the bigger 'problem' is Slot doesn't have a clue how to use him.

I suspect Pep would love Wirtz and would get the best out of him. Tough he blew his chance and chose Liverpool.
 
Good news that, he's a dead man walking, so the more money they spend on him and the longer they give him, the longer it'll take to recover from his inevitable sacking.

Got to replace Salah and vvd this summer. Likely konate too. Robertson also off, kerkez has replaced him already but they'll need another option there. Probably need a right back as bradley and frimpong can't stay fit, that's suddenly basically an entire new back 4 needed.

Ekitike going to be out for most the season, how will they deal with his absence? They'll probably have to look at bringing in 2 attackers at least, can they be putting a lot of faith in wirtz and Isak? That's a serious rebuild on the cards and that's the minimum, not got a lot of saleable assets in that squad, are they going to spend another half a billion after last summer?
 
I think they will be better next season just by moving off Salah and VVD alone.

Salah is a shell of himself and is nowhere near the level he was 18 months ago. VVD has increasingly become a liability for them at the back. I think they will get Isak fit, and will add another winger and will be better. They also have a couple young CB's they paid big money for coming into the team.

I think the problem is Slot has lost the fans and doesn't have the public backing and if he does not get off to a fast start next year he could go the way of Brendan Rodgers very early into the year.

There’s a really top class centre-back at Palace.

Perhaps they should go for him.
