Lifted off the Caf - sometimes they can hold a factual point

What does the graph show… it is of the 6 ever present PL teams. And the amount of yellow (and iirc red) cards awarded against a team.
The 1st 5 are pretty close, with Chelsea a tad higher than the norm (Mourinho effect?).
Though it is noticeable that the bottom 3 are the red cartel.
The outlier by a considerable percent is Liverpool.

What’s it suggesting? Well , if anything, it’s that Liverpool are a saintly sportsmanship team, who go out of their way to uphold good play…

… but that’s not reality is it . Andy ‘push you over the advertising hoardings’ Robertson, Mo ‘shot by a sniper’ Salah, James ‘hack every City player’ Milner… are just a few from the recent past that indicate an inbuilt ref bias towards Liverpool leniency.

You can prove anything with stats… but when you have an outlier … it becomes quite obvious.

I look forward to the Caf doing a similar piece on penalties awarded against (and for), I’m guessing that at least 2 of the cartel will have the lowest (and highest)… so maybe not…

"Lee's defence team described the assault as a "single, isolated" moment of madness."

"his only previous conviction was a referral for common assault in 2005."

So not a single, isolated moment of madness then? Seems his defence team was equally as stupid as the thug videoing his own crime.

Sentence is insanely lenient. How can you beat a man unconcscious infront of his family and kids from a position where the person cannot reasonably defend himself even if he was capable of doing so for literally no reason and not do time for it?

When Liverpool lose Salah they have to find a player to build around. Florian Wirtz will not be that player and neither will Isak due to his fitness issues. Their best bet is Ekitike and even that is an uncertain plan due to his Achilles rupture.

Liverpool are like us under Pellegrini.

Great in the season after Mancini due to it being a mix of the best of Mancini’s aspects of mentality, tactics and fitness with Pellegrini adding a calmer and friendlier atmosphere around the place and more attacking fluidity.

Then the less Mancini’s legacy remained with the squad, we became far too unfit, too nice, had an acceptance that winning wasn’t the be-all and end-all and just got worse and worse.
