It shows that people believe the shite that the likes of Carragher and Neville spout without thinking for themselves.

In a similar way, Neville has often claimed that United aren't a sacking club. What he means is that they didn't sack Baconface. Before he joined in 1986, they'd just sacked Ron Atkinson. Since Ferguson, they've sacked David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Jose Mourinho, Erik Ten Hag and Ruben Amorim. Six managers sacked in a 13 year period, but they're not a sacking club.
Whatever about Liverpool, regarding United, being a non-sacking club appears to be a myth.
Unless I'm missing something, Wikipedia says between Busby's departure in 1969 and Ferguson's appointment in 1986, they had seven different managers (including the shortlived reappointment of Busby in 1971).
So, on average, a sacking every two and a half years

I thought they were absolutely shocking last night. They could barely string two passes together. The intensity and running was there in patches, but they just kept giving the ball away.

When you look at how much they spent, they're miles off it. Gravenberch and Mac Allister look shocking. Kerkez and Frimpong were abysmal too. Gakpo has been awful this season.

They'll improve if they can keep players fit, but Salah now needs replacing, Van Dijk is declining too. They won't challenge next season either.

The Talk Bettting phone in is mint. Whining Dippers from mostly anywhere but Liverpool calling for Slop to go inc Danny Fuckin Murphy. I thought the Scouse one who rang in was going to self combust! No sympathy for poor Eggy Tea Cake from any of them.

Its tight underneath us and no teams are consistent.
Wouldn't surprise if the Rags and Chelsea dont make top five. So it's not impossible Dippers get top 5.
They're 4 points clear of Chelsea with 6 to play. I replied to someone who said is was "unlikely" they would make it. I don't really see what you're getting at telling me that it isn't impossible for them to get top 5. I know.

"Bass, Scouse, how low can you go?"

Liverpool foodbank charity robbed outside Anfield in 'deplorable act' caught on CCTV

A charity collection bucket was stolen outside Anfield on Tuesday evening, sparking fury among supporters ahead of Liverpool's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

Fans Supporting Foodbanks, the organisation responsible for the collection, announced the theft on X, prompting widespread condemnation from the football community.

The incident has been branded "deplorable" by outraged supporters, who expressed disbelief that someone would target donations intended for vulnerable people.

The charity, which represents a remarkable collaboration between rival Liverpool and Everton fan groups, has been gathering food and essential supplies at Merseyside football grounds for more than a decade.

The charity took to X to express their dismay, stating: "After over 10 years of foodbank collections at Anfield, Goodison Park and the HDS some chancer took the opportunity to steal our collection bucket this evening.

"Shame on you, I hope your need is greater than the people we feed and the CCTV images are as clear as can be."

Supporters swiftly rallied behind the organisation online.

"Deplorable to steal from charity. Lower than low," wrote one user.

Another responded: "Absolute disgrace whoever done this."

Fan channel Redmen TV simply posted: "Disgusting this."

...That way at least they have something to lift in May !

Where was the famous atmosphere last night? PSG absolutely pulled them apart from start to finish and the ground was a library. Embarrassing
Agree . I had background sound only and it was generally quiet . PSG played in first gear most of the game , letting Liverpool huff and puff all they liked as they have no goal threat apart from set pieces . PSG are on another level . The tussle on the other side was far more entertaining with an ex City player being sent off and a thwarted comeback from Barcelona which dwindled as soon as Rashford came on ...

Did look a nasty one for Ekitike, if it is his Achilles, that's a seriously bad one and we won't be seeing him for about 12 months. Wish him a full recovery, don't want to see that happen to any player, even if they're a dipper.

"And the armchair manager of the year award, goes to"

There's no way that isn't obvious bait.

Ahhh that old fave.... Thoughts and prayers as well!

Last week and tonight are just further examples of how mediocre we are and the levels we have fallen from.
Watched the loss to you lot in a pub in Bury, perhaps the worst aspect of it was getting pity from the rag barman. Just glad I missed the first leg against PSG due to work and almost wished I was working tonight, even more so watching Ekitike go off injured.
We will be lucky to scrape into ECL spots and if we do then FSG have to have a serious look at strengthening. Wasted money on Isak most certainly but would like to see Wirtz given more time. The disappointments being that we lost both Semenyo/Guehi to City.
I can't begrudge City anything as you lot have to be positive and beat the Arse on Sunday.
Beaten by a better team, nothing wrong in that. Dithering over Guehi and Semenyo might have been a key as to why things haven’t happened this season. Certainly Guehi in defence rather than Van Dijk would have made a huge difference.
Hope the injury to Ekitike isn’t as bad as first thought.

Yes, but as we all know, this is the Trafford Ministry of Truth we're talking about. If the rags come out and say they have never sacked a manager, not once in their entire history, then they have never sacked a manager. Can't have the gullible lemmings learning the truth, can we?

Their season is over in April.

Scouse c*nts!
Whilst I'm not sure about the language, I agree with your sentiments, dear 'jrb'..(!!)

I stand to be corrected but I read that last evening's loss to PSG was their 17th out of 50 games played so far this season? That's 34% of their games in 2025-26 which have ended in defeat.

That's bad enough a statistic alone for the so-called 'dominant force' of the previous 2024-26 season. But when you consider the start they had to this term (five consecutive league wins from the off, with inevitable attendant media headlines wondering who could 'stop them doing it all over again' and 'are trebles/quadruples on' etc?) and take out those games, it now makes for 17 losses out of 45, a much worse loss percentage of approx. 38%.

Their drop-off since last year has been incredible. And their 'footballing business' decisions (actual transfer dealings, transfer hesitancy and contract extensions for the likes of Van Dijk and Salah) are looking both unwise as well as very, very costly.

It all reminds me of the similar situation that has been going on with the Red Filth over at The Swamp in recent years (eg Sanchez, Ronaldo, various second-rate managers and players and so on, all brought in and shipped out for top dollar costs to their balance sheet..)

Long may it continue, says I..!
