Not really but we have enough bullshit and lies posted about us by the media and plastic fans of other clubs, most of whom have never actually attended a game, never mind a supposed City fan doing the same. It had to be challenged.

Could’ve killed Madrid like 4-0 yesterday yet they didn’t. Wirtz also had a very good game. In normal circumstances he ends the game with a goal and 2 assists. It’s inevitable the moment salah actually stops being selfish( never ) he will come good

Dickov wasn't actually booed for scoring that penalty against us, I was at the game, were you? He got a great reception and was his usual all action self and was laughingly booed for it, all good natured as in a pantomime villain way. He knew it and we knew it. No he was booed after his totally over the top celebration right at the City fans as he scored what I think was the winning penalty. At that time we were in grave danger of relegation and his antics were totally out of order, as he himself has subsequently admitted.

Distin and James were offered more money by Portsmouth, the same as Cole. The first two were key players at the time and them fucking off left us right in the shit. They deserved any stick they got.

Cancello behaved like a spoilt brat and was rightly fucked off by Pep. He got booed for that disrespect to our manager and club and rightly so.

Barton was and is a bellend as the years since he left has proven. It's so long ago now I neither really remember or care. Bellend or not he was a half decent player on his day and we didn't have many of those back then. I don't remember him being booed when he played for us and I'm sure I remember he got a half decent reception on his first return to our place. Back then we might not have liked good players leaving but we understood we were never going to be challenging for honours so we understood why they would leave to better their careers, like SWP. We also needed the money they brought in.

No we are totally different to other clubs, especially Liverpool. Their hate campaign against Sterling was despicable and whipped up by a City hating and Liverpool loving media ensured he got vile abuse all over the country and even when he played for England. If you can't see that you're deluded or as I said not a City fan.

Nobody is treating Savinho poorly. Many of us don't rate him highly and express that here. At the game he gets our full support but his performances sadly often prove our opinion correct, though we hope he will come good eventually. Why wouldn't we?? A world class version of Savinho benefits everyone.

Thanks, I sometimes wonder why I get involved it's no good for my blood pressure at times lol. I guess being retired now I have more time on my hands. As I've said we all know not all our fans are angels but under it all we're Blues and on the whole fair and decent with a self depreciating sense of humour. The person who wrote his post had put a great deal of thought and effort into it, going back years, but he was wrong on so many levels so i felt I had to sit down and take the time to respond in kind. After a bleed on the brain in 2015 while actually supporting our club at home against Seville I can still be prone to fly off the handle as it was in the emotions part of the brain the bleed occurred. I've learnt to control it over the years but it can still be triggered without warning. That was my first reaction to the post but I took a deep breath and ten minutes to cool down before responding as it needed a more rational response. I'm glad you think I nailed it.

And you dealt with every player he/she mentioned in a far better way than I could have. I’d forgotten that some of those you talked about had been booed by us.

I've heard other fan bases booing returning players, and I can never understand why they would do that. I don’t think we abuse returning former Blues anywhere near as much as other clubs' supporters do.
Quite the contrary, in fact. Nearly all receive a cheer, when their names are read out before kick-off, with the obvious exceptions, as mentioned above.

I’m glad you’ve recovered from the bleed on the brain. That must have been awful for you. All the best.

I have heard other fan bases booing the likes of Sterling and Jack just for have the temerity to sign for City, and I'm not talking about Villa and Liverpool fans, what it has to do with other teams fans I have no idea and at the moment Jack isn't getting stick playing for Everton only happens when they're in Skyblue

I remember many years ago when the majority of players returning to old clubs used to get stick, all clubs did that, except if they'd given exceptional service for years and left when they were on the wane. We regrettably did sometimes boo our own players while they were still playing for us, poor Richard Edgehill I particularly remember. I think the last one was Kolarov after a few glaring mistakes and a lazy away performance at Southampton I think, a few Blues thought he wasn't pulling his weight.

Thanks. It was the fastest I have ever got away from the ground, emergency sirens, lights, the works. Sadly it wasn't to home though but to MRI then Salford royal lol.

Mrs Vienna told me that she was nearly punched for sticking up for Ian Bowyer back in the late '60s or early '70s by some thug, who along with quite a sizeable chunk of City supporters, thought he wasn’t good enough, and booed him regularly.

Ian was deemed not good enough, though he was being compared to established stars like the Holy Trinity, Nellie Young and others. He was such a shit footballer that he won the European Cup twice with Brian Clough at Forest.

Poor Ian Bowyer. He started as a forward with us and couldn't stop scoring, I think his nickname was spring heels as he could leap quite high for headers. Alf Ramsey was looking at him to play for England, so good was his form. Sadly his form then collapsed, the harder he tried the worse it got and he missed absolute sitters. The crowd turned on him and he was sold.
 
Sorry, but you lot are not meant to be arguing amongst yourselves here. It's meant to be venting your spleen at me!

Would like to think that the performance we put up against RM can be replicated against you lot on Sunday. However, there is zero guarantee as that performance is very much a freak so far this season. Gives me a little bit of hope....but then it's the hope that kills you!
