And, as everyone knows, you should never go full dipper.Yes . GVardiol should have gone to ground last night . Mind you Foden did against Newcastle and Cherki last week at Forest and it made no difference . We get penalised for playing on and trying to score whether we fall over or not .
Difference is Pep isn't whining and moaning to the press . He's quickly gone Full Dipper .
From what I understand, someone in the Littlewoods hierarchy tried to blame Belgian skinheads for the tragedy at the Heysel stadium in 1985.Belgian skinheads? I haven't heard that excuse before, please educate me .... this should be fun?
It’s almost as if they have no shameFrom what I understand, someone in the Littlewoods hierarchy tried to blame Belgian skinheads for the tragedy at the Heysel stadium in 1985.
The entire diving culture in the Premier League is entirely down to Liverpool's success with the tactic.A certain irony in Slots post match ....maybe they need Salah back , the Diving King .
Slot is always quick to blame the ref ....but he's such a nice chap isn't he .
Ekitike was unfortunate not to get a penalty when he stayed on his feet under a challenge from Jaka Bijol in the box, which was at the centre of Slot's post-match reflections.
"If he had fallen down it would probably have been a penalty but this season so many times when we were fouled we did not get a penalty," Slot said.
"This season we have conceded a few soft penalties but Brentford away with Cody Gakpo the referee said, 'play on' so our players try to stay on our feet and then it is hard for the VAR to interfere."
And Slot said that he would never encourage his players to go down.
I’ve seen the ‘highlights’ on BBC. It most probably was a foul because the Leeds defender had both arms around Ekitike but the foul started outside the penalty area and it would be a free kick outside the area and not a penalty.A certain irony in Slots post match ....maybe they need Salah back , the Diving King .

If a foul starts outside the area, and continues into the area, it's a penalty. If he was to be given a free kick outside the area, the ref would've had to send the defender off, as well.I’ve seen the ‘highlights’ on BBC. It’s about time Littlewoods had a decision go against them.I’ve seen the ‘highlights’ on BBC. It most probably was a foul because the Leeds defender had both arms around Ekitike but the foul started outside the penalty area and it would be a free kick outside the area and not a penalty.
If that’s so, the matches I’ve seen this season the referee must be getting it wrong because I’ve seen a few where the player has fallen inside the area, having been fouled outside and the ref has given the foul outside. If a foul starts outside the area, and continues into the area, it's a penalty. If he was to be given a free kick outside the area, the ref would've had to send the defender off, as well.
I can't speak to the situations you mention, but if you are thinking of situations where you slide tackle someone outside the area, but the player falls into it, then he was fouled outside the area.If that’s so, the matches I’ve seen this season the referee must be getting it wrong because I’ve seen a few where the player has fallen inside the area, having been fouled outside and the ref has given the foul outside.
If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick
Perhaps they let go of the player before they fall into the area in the scenarios I mean. Thanks for clearing it up.I can't speak to the situations you mention, but if you are thinking of situations where you slide tackle someone outside the area, but the player falls into it, then he was fouled outside the area.
If you start to hold someone outside the area, but continue to hold inside the area, then it's a pen.
Straight from the Laws of the Game:
Yes . I agree . I watched them last night too after a conversation with a friend who supports Liverpool . Makes Slot's statement even more annoying .I’ve seen the ‘highlights’ on BBC. It most probably was a foul because the Leeds defender had both arms around Ekitike but the foul started outside the penalty area and it would be a free kick outside the area and not a penalty.
You’d think Liverpool, being the greatest club in history, would cancel this loan and take him back. Clearly he’s not playing for Villa again this season but it seems they might take him back IF Villa initiate it, thus agreeing to pay a loan cancellation fee and some or all of his wages for the rest of the season.
The BBC being diplomatic there and not calling him shit.

Yes but the PGMOL interpretation which isn’t shown in the rules is highlighted in bold above :)If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick (so long as the player is a) wearing a red shirt or b) wearing a shirt of any random colour so long as it has a red shirt crest on it or c) the attacker is wearing a non-red shirt or any random colour without a red shirt crest where the decision will be either a) play on or b) free kick to the defending team and the attacking player will be booked for simulation).
