Have to say the only thing I agreed with you in that post was..."That twat Neville"

A very subdued game and showed how much Arsenal miss Saka. Not exactly the most entertaining of games and for the 3rd time this season we have "got away with it". Ir is always going to take something special to score against a very very solid Arsenal. Mosquera certainly doing a good job in place of Saliba.
Yeah wasn't a great game, incredible free kick to win it. From an Arsenal perspective I really have no idea why Arteta started Martinelli. I think Eze or Trossard would have offered more. Aside from that it was a stalemate won by a worldy. It happens but now Arteta is under massive pressure - will need to win the next 4 including tough matches against City and at Newcastle.

Gonna be a repeat of last year only probably easier once they sign Isak

No one can challenge them.
Arsenals hopes are on a carthorse they’ve signed for up front

The cunts can play shite and still win. Been doing it for years so no danger of the luck running out

When people say ‘playing shite’ they forget football is not just about possession, creating pretty patterns of play etc it’s also about what happens in the two boxes.

Hate to say it but Liverpool were fantastic defensively, at corners, set pieces competed physically with Arsenal for every ball.

I doubt any other team would deal with the pressure so well.

Before the game I would have been happy with a point. My whole thought being that its trying to not drop points against your biggest rivals. Arsenal & City are not going to have too many off days and it's trying to grind out results against those and hopefully being able to get wins against everyone else.
Thats the idea, but as Brighton showed today, that cannot be taken for granted. Or as Bournemouth perhaps should have shown against us.
Even if we were to get Isak/Guehi, that is yet more change in an already transitioning team that gives me less security/confidence that we will play as a team. Wirtz looked a little lost again today and Salah still not on it.
As you say, I couldn't fathom Arteta not putting Eze on sooner (from the start) and targeting Szobo.
As for that stat they kept on showing about corners. I found that really odd, having all that success with in swingers and yet today it cannot have been solely down to Saka not playing!

Not sure what's the lesser of two evils anymore, dippers being back to back champions is much more unbearable than a solo title and then lines them up for a 3peat but on the other hand having have to endure them winning it last season, its probably easier to take happening again now that the dreaded scenario has happened.

Arsenal having not won a title for 20 years are easily batted off on that alone. I'd very much like for that fact to remain, but everything about their billion pound stoke approach is deeply dislikeable too. Its sickening to think about but at a push I might be inclined to suggest a dipper win just beats an arsenal win in preference. Goes without saying I'd sooner absolutely anybody else with even a slither of hope over both of them.

Tough match against City? You can't be serious

These are your league winners again.

Wouldn't surprise me to see them dominate for a few years.

The media wankers will say nothing about their spending I bet, but I'm more pissed off at our pathetic transfer strategy recently, this net spend trophy bullshit has to stop now or we'll struggle to compete with them in the next few years.

Liverpool just knocked out the whole league, and us with it.
Isak is just the cherry on top, after they already smashed a record for Wirtz, signed Ekitiké and now Guehi from Palace is likely joining too.
Before all that, they brought in a quality left-back and Frimpong on the right.

And they’re doing it as reigning champions! You always need refreshing, always strengthening, even after success. Exactly what we failed to do when we were riding high, choosing instead to sit back and stagnate. And the result? You can see it clearly over the past year.

What an insane transfer window. I don’t even care how much money they’ve spent. We wasted crazy amounts in the past ourselves so who are us to complain?
They even managed to cash in big, including offloading that flop Núñez.

They’ve left us choking on dust. We’d better brace ourselves for a few years of red dominance.

Only three years ago, Liverpool finished in 5th place.
They rebuilt and now they are league champions.

We finished third, on the back of a record 4 league wins in a row.
We are now rebuilding.

Elite sport. Embrace competition.
Slapped arses need not apply.

Chelsea added Shevchenko and Ballack to their already best team in England back in 2006. They failed to win the title or the CL.

The season is very long and less predictable than many think. Those who are certain than Liverpool will win the title may bet their house on it. (Don't do it!)
