Liverpool aren't pissing around though.

They know their targets and get them over the line.
They're going to look like a bunch of amateurs if they don't retain their title this season.

They've had the best summer transfer window in the history of the premier league (according to Sly Sports).

Couple that with having the best squad in Europe, I personally think anything less than a double this season, and it's a massive failure for them.

Let's not forget Pellegrini won a double in his first season with us.

in the highest of their lives, with best GK, top 2 scorers for the PL, we still piped them to the league twice. that was down to the team and the coach. lets hope the team and pep can wake up soon

I'm very interested to see how Slot is going to manage this season.

It's a completely different challenge for him and Liverpool now.

There was absolutely no pressure or expectations on him to win the league last season (which may have been a factor in him winning it).

This season Liverpool are now the firm favourites to win the premier league, and all the media focus and attention is now on them.

Plenty of people will say that currently there is no other team in the division to challenge them. However, that kind of pressure and expectation can do strange things to some people.

Yes because we had a raft of world class players and amazing depth. That isn’t the case now so stop kidding yourself. They will walk the title!

Well, as I've already said.

They better had walk the title this season, because if they don't, they're going to look like a bunch of amateurs.

In fact the money they've spent they need to be winning at least a double or achieve one hundred and one points by the end of the season.

They won’t lose a home match this season. Only City and Chelsea can possibly draw or beat them at Anfield, but I doubt it.Arsenal pretty much parked the bus and failed.

They will win it comfortably again particularly after today’s signings. Unbelievable window,3/3 wins and haven’t even played that well. Wait until it clicks.

I have no interest in Liverpool FC.
I do not care whom they buy.
I only care that they do not beat our records.

I turned the sound of Sky today because it was like LFC TV - now that I do care about.
It gets a bit much doesn’t it.

Those puppets on Sly Sports are literally wetting their pants with the Liverpool news.

They've got Alan Pardew and Christian Purslow former CEO of Aston Villa on the show, who are bringing the mood right down by saying: "this is bad for the league because it's causing a bigger gulf between the top five clubs and the other fifteen".

Jess and Mark are like two little kids at a party who have been chastised for showing off.

I think the old folk may politely be asked to leave soon.

Hard to see anyone stopping them now, unless injury crisis hit them
The money they've spent and the depth of their squad, there are no excuses whatsoever.

MCFC have won numerous titles over the years with significant injuries to key players who were missing from the squad.

Not only do Liverpool need to retain their title this season, they also need to add to it with a champions league title or the FA Cup.

Anything less is a monumental failure.

They have got no excuses now.

They need to be winning a double this season at the very least.

If they don't, they'll be certain people making comparisons with them and the rags.

No pressure!

I hate the cunts but credit where credit’s due.

Look at how they handled their aging players like Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago, Milner, Mane, Firmino.

All extremely important and playing a huge part in their good years with Klopp.

But were there room for sentiment, no? One bad season and signs they were past it and they were flogged.

We need to take a good look and learn from it. One off season is fine if you then manage to get rid and replace the way they did.

What was dangerous was that we kept on renewing with the old guard (and maybe even Pep) although we probably should have known that after a fourth straight title they had done it all and that there was nothing left to fight for. It’s criminal to sign up players for that long contracts when we really and truly were only going to get one or a couple of good season out of them. Grealish/Akanji etc work in an environment of players with the never say die attitude that we once had, but they are obviously not players to lead a new generation.

I hope for a positive outcome of the 115 case now and that we never walk down this route again

They finished fifth 2 years ago.
That would not be accepted here.
