Sky referring to Isak as a saga is to distort truth. He was tapped up. He threw his toys out of the pram, refusing to play. And he is a British transfer record signing.

Had that 'saga' happened elsewhere, it would be reported differently, IMO.
We'd have been slaughtered and Pep would have been implicated.

They know exactly what they're doing on Sly Sports, and so too, do all those media hacks and pundits that are regular guests on the show.

The tension between reality and their version of events, was becoming more strained and awkward by the day.

You can literally see the relief in their body language now the Isak deal is done.

This is why they've been referring to it as "the longest" transfer window ever.

They'll be exhausted from the amount of gaslighting they've had to do on behalf of LFC.

That’s the full house init? Most expensive keeper, defender, midfielder and striker. If it weren’t for that Coutinho money and 4 time net spend champions prize money, they might have been accused of buying the league. Then again, perhaps not…
You're not kidding.

Between the rags, Liverpool and Chelsea the amount of money they've spent, you'd be forgiven for thinking they're buying the world.

what have they made in transfer sales this window? ~£175m ?

seems pretty mental to spend over £400m

Despite the dippers, the media and Uncle Tom spitty n all crowing about it, the Guehi deal is still to be sanctioned by Palace. I’ll laugh my cock off should it not go through.

‘Imagine it being us’…
We’d have been hammered by all sections of the media and sports fans everywhere.

Liverpool spend £400 million+ and win the title - great business, great to see them back, media goes into full on wankfest.

Man City spend £400 million+ and win titles - cheating oil money bastards, corrupt, buying the league, media go into full on meltdown and tarnish the clubs name and reputation with unfounded and unsubstantiated accusations.

This is what we've been up against for over 15+ years.

Like it or not, they've had a very good window. Isak, Wirtz, Ekitike, Kerkez and Frimpong (among others). And more than likely, Guehi. I can’t see us finishing above them. Though I hope I'm wrong.

£481m in one window. There will be silence about buying/distorting the league. "NET Spend" will only be the only amount quoted by the fans.
It will be "investing" for the future.

Anything less than a treble should be classed as a failure.

Personally, i can see it all going wrong eventually. Whatever happens, it will be fascinating to watch.

Edit: Minus £-35m. Seems they haven't bought Guehi

Guehi collapsed for them cause Palace manager threatened to walk. They will get him in Jan for sure.

They've shown more ambition than us this window .... which is annoying as I still don't think they're great and with one or 2 more signings we would be favorites over them
