people already waving the flag cuz of this lot need their head checking, we're three games in ffs

Its not the fact we're three games in. It's because it looks like we haven't fixed the problems we've had for nearly a year.

3 games in but a continuation of the issues that saw us lift fuck all...

If we don't gets results vs the rags and arsenal, which we won't if we play like we have been, we would be 10+ points behind the dippers before we're out of September.

All we've learned this season is that wolves are dog shit and we can't beat anyone decent

Dippers now hold the top two spots for record transfers in English football

But they don't spend much...

Geuhi doesn't move the needle for me personally, and Isak is a good player, but I don't know, 130m just seems insane to me. That's Mbappe money, or Neymar/Ronaldo money, I just don't see Isak as that level of player, even at his best.

They should still walk this league, but it's more of an indictment on us than anything else, really. I suppose Chelasea could put up a fight, but meh, I doubt it. Arsenal, lol. We picked a really terrible time to down tools, letting these get ahead of us...

£35m!

The only solace I can take from this, is that Rags will be hurting far more than we will.

Klopp must be wondering WTF at how much they’ve spent?
It's his own fault.

He said: "if I ever have to spend £50M on a player, then it's time I walk away"

He walks and Liverpool spend £500M.

No way I am I getting giddy. Yes it looks good but form comes and goes. AS you saw with Rodri, it only takes one kick or one awkward move/fall and you are out. So nothing is certain after only 3 games.

I was surprised at the number of posts on this thread in reaction to the signings, but even more surprised by the general tone of the comments.

City have been the benchmark for the last decade+ and so cannot be written off.

I see it the same with all this talk in the recent posts about your spending. Not only have you built successful side after successful side, you have also built the infrastructure that is the envy of every other club in the country I would suggest. To me, that simply means that transition it may be, but it will be a short transition and there won't be much in it come May.

Obviously having zero football intelligence compared to Pep, I still cannot get over favouring Doku/Trafford over Grealish/Ederson.
No way you’re a Dipper, far too sensible post

450m spent on new players in one transfer window. That must be a record in the history of football, not just the PL?

IIRC, Chelsea spent about 420m 2 years ago.

You can’t argue with the sheer depth they have added to their squad. Makes them fairly immune to issues that injuries could cause. Even if VVD gets injured they will have enough to cover it and mitigate it. I think Wirtz will be a game changer in time and the two forwards will deliver a lot of goals. The full backs are a down grade on prime Trent and Robertson but probably still good enough. Sometimes you have got to say fair play - saw an opportunity and look to have nailed it. No “projects” just players designed to help them win now.
