It's a culmination of many things all this 'Dippers-will-win-everything-everywhere' stuff that has been going on. It's down to the proven fact that:
A) the media in this country are afraid of upsetting the scousers so will run with any story that paints them in a good light.
B) The astonishing amount of money the club has spent in the hopes of retaining the Prem, thereby strengthening their place amongst the elite of world football.

I for one do not believe all dipper fans are thinking this way. Like most level-headed supporters they will realise that everything is cyclical, that the winners of today will be the losers of tomorrow. But it seems that the club has more - shall we say - 'mentally challenged' followers than the average club, and these unfortunate souls probably believe in the OTT hype that has been following the dippers since the David Coote thing.

We can all of us only hope for a good season for our clubs, no unpleasantness, no monumental pgmol fuck-ups costing us important points or cup progress, etc. A season of good football, spills and thrills, and an acknowledgment that the winners on the day have been worthy champions and thoroughly deserving of their achievement - yes, and maybe Holly Willoughby will consent to making a pervy sex tape with me.
You forgot point C - PGMOL aiding and abetting their cheating, diving and thuggery while punishing their opponents with soft cards and constant free kicks in Liverpool's favour.

The gentleman who drove his car through the crowd of Liverpool supporters celebrating their title win has pleaded not guilty to 31 charges. Will be interesting to see what his defence team outlines why, there’s numerous videos and will be hundreds of witness testimonies to build a strong case against.
Not his fault apparently.

Gentleman?

As a long time Liverpool fan (first game in 1960) I was surprised that Slot took an axe to a team that had just won the league. Looking at the 3 games played so far the team has looked unbalanced and very suspect to teams playing on the break. We won't get away with it every game. As for Isak I am more disappointed that we didn't sign Guehi. Don't need Isak and to be honest didn't like the way he behaved by going on strike. On paper Liverpool look a good bet for the league but as has been said many times football isn't played on paper
This is one of the most objective posts on this thread that I've read. Congratulations!

It's totally bizarre. He's probably realised he's getting a huge prison sentence even if he pleads guilty so thought fuck it I've got nothing to lose. His defence? Mental impairment, PTSD ( ex Royal marine I think) and/or he feared for his life as the crowd started to attack his car and panicked and was trying to get away. I still can't believe nobody was killed after viewing the footage.

World record signing goalkeeper
World records signing defender
British record signing midfielder
British record signing striker

Shoestring budget they'll have you believe

Thought I’d leave this here… sure sign that once a piece of shit always a piece of….
The only surprise is that it doesn't say: Luis Suarez, who once scored a goal against MANCHESTER CITY.

See they mention the racist incident at Liverpool but forget to mention the club and fans condoned it with T shirts and everything.

He apparently tested positive for alcohol and drug use. There is no way his defence will be able to absorb him of that. If it’s in Liverpool crown court, he may as well have been sent straight to prison.

I don't think as Blues we should be questioning their spending as we've spent a bit ourselves. As for no one mentioning it, well everywhere I look they're talking about their spending but they're also mentioning the net spend - which in my view is correct. As Blues we've been banging on about our net spend for a few years.

Our big problem is that they look better than us and sauntered to the title last season while we looked absolutely awful.

Let's see what the season brings, but the first 3 games haven't looked good for us.

You're right. But the 'First three games' is the important bit to me. We'll have a better picture in the New Year. Cup games, suspensions, injuries etc, all will have given us signs of what is to come, so I'll reserve judgment* until then.

*I wasn't sure which was the American spelling and which was the correct one!

I agree as it makes us sound jealous and it’s like we question decisions which they get but tbh it’s get have been on the wrong end if done bad ives over the years so it evens itself out. Liverpool atm go full on for 90 minutes and that is why they get results where as we can’t even last 60 mins . Face it lads we are well of them at present .

There is I am the fan who wrote it. As I said I saw my first game in 1960. Christ I even saw Billy Liddell play in (I think) a reserve game but it's that long ago and I can't remember much about it. Been to Maine Road many times although I went to work overseas in 89 and retired after my last job in Hong Kong about 6 years ago. I used to pay 6 old pence to get in the Boys Pen at Anfield and was gutted when it went to a shilling. Fkn hell I don't know how people afford to go to the match now ,never mind taking your kids with you. Is that progress I have my doubts
