Loss of Diaz and Jota has been underplayed for sure. Diaz was physical and work his bollocks off. Jota scored important goals.They have had serious defensive problems since the start of the season. Van Dijk is 34, Konate in the last year of his contract, two new FBs... They don't have proper wingers as well (Salah is more of a forward, and he's 33...). Diaz was huge for them last season.

The initial signs are not well & good and long may it continue! The pressure of that high of a fee is very underrated. It takes a player of character to shake off that pressure and play consistently to a standard that sort of fee demands. There have been tony flashes but then the odd bounce or too much weight on a ball, or as with his big chance against Palace, the right touch and the confidence will make things so much easier.
At least he was wanting the ball on Saturday.
Irrespective of how lucky and bad we have been it has been said by a few others, we faced a excellent coach and team. You look at the likes of Palace and last season, Forest and have to take your hat off to them. To bring together players who aren't, or weren't huge names and get them to gel into a great unit has to be commended.
