I do think the players they have bought are individually good and will work out eventually but they changed too much in one fell swoop when it didn't need changing.

conversely the rags could and should have had four and they are a fecking joke attacking wise which doesnt speak well for the defence.come on they could easy had 4/5 goals yesterday then it would be other side of coin

Van Dijk and Salah both look miles off it, and I'm not sure they'll get it back considering their age. Allison is a big miss, he probably saves Mbuemo's shot - and tends to help them appear better defensively than they are. The rags sliced through them, as Palace did. Sit back and counter and they just can't cope. The balance is gone, and I don't think they have the players at the moment to restore it.
They nearly got Guehi at the end of the window. He would have been a solid acquisition.
