Yeah you’ll win no friends with that on here BUT if that penalty had been given to Liverpool rather than Brentford, the agenda thread would have gained 300 pages today.They gave Brentford a penalty when the ref gave a free kick - no one watching would have deemed that a penalty in real time.

They did a Chelsea and United and bought bunch of high profile players without any plan on how to use them. They look way worse than the team that had Nunez starting as a striker, people meme about Nunez but at least he pressed for them and helped free up space for them. Also, selling Diaz was a baffling decision he was genuinely a top 10 wingers in the world. Now they have Salah who is finished due to his age and Gakpo who is one dimensional. They bought fullbacks that suit 3atb formations, Frimpong is not a defender and Kerkez is a left back who is suited as a wingback and not a 3rd center back.
I don't think they will be out of this mess unless they completely change their formation or get a new manager with a different system who can utilise the players that they bought. I think Slot is going to be sacked after we play them at Etihad, with the way they defend. I can see us putting 4 goals past them with ease.

If they'd only got half of that glut of late winners early on and didn't get, say, two of them, they'd be 4 points worse off and would down in around 14th or 15th place....

Unless he changes the formation, I don't see them ever turning back. I doubt they would even finish in a CL spot. Slot is going to get the sack at some point in this season, he looks a manager who is out of ideas

I wonder if they'd forgotten that he died when they won the first five games, mainly in the last minutes. You know when they were showing "what champions are made of"!!!!Stephen Warnock did the same last week. Actually disgraceful weaponising a death like that, especially as the problem lies with players who never played with Jota, players who are no longer there and the inexorable ageing process for some that are - and so fuck all to do with that tragedy.
