The MUEN has an article on their homepage – "Manchester United fans give brilliant reaction to Brendan Rodgers sacking'" ... then go on to show a load of tweets that are neither 'brilliant' or funny!

Does anybody think MUEN has an article about rag twattering reactions to BR sacking? They still feel Liverpools' biggest rivals are indeed United? Well, they probably are if it's about 4th place.
The fact that the media comes up with Klopp and Ancelotti is bizar. Two totally different managers. You would expect Liverpool to be after more than one candidate, but at least managers in the same bracket: Klopp/Conte/Simeone or Ancelotti/Del Bosque to name a few. Big question is, will they come to Liverpool. I suspect someone they wanted has said 'yes' already so we'll find out soon. Pity this as Liverpool were going nowhere with BR. What would Milners' thought be right now ...

Can't even be arsed to gloat about Milner now. His choice, let him deal with the fallout. One things for sure, while ever the dippers continue to use him in a central role they will not finish in the top 5.
Milner would have had even less game time this season with Sterling and KDB joining. I can't imagine he really regrets leaving that much if what he really wanted was to play games.

That's a typical Lawrenson piece (although it's more literate than his usual verbal bollocks). He jumps from one thought to another but with no consistency in those thoughts. He says Rodgers shouldn't have been sacked yet gives lots of reasons why he should have been. He says he's a good man manager and all his players like him yet ignores the fact that he publicly hung some out to dry and must have pissed many others off by buying them then ignoring them, loaning them out or playing them in their wrong positions. Even Gerrard was critical of him.

He wasn't sacked because of fan apathy but because he had spent nearly £300m and hadn't moved Liverpool forward in any way. He had one good season where everything came together and you're always going to suffer when you lose a key player like Suarez. Maybe that season was a happy accident or maybe he really did make the whole better than the sum of the parts. But ultimately a manager should decide how he wants his team to play then find the right players to make that work. He couldn't seem to decide how he wanted to play, had a scattergun approach to recruitment then tried to fit players into systems and positions they weren't suited to.

Perfect storm that season for Liverpool, 3 clubs like us Chelsea and United changing managers. United really felt the impact of that change the most. He had Suarez in the form of his life and fully fit Sturridge to pair him up with.

Think the timing of it all has been wrong, they should have pulled the trigger in the summer, having Sturridge coming back from injury might have given him a chance but it looks like they've had an answer from one of their targeted managers.

Who ever gets the job has got a huge rebuilding project on, if they go for Klopp what will the fitness levels be like to play the high tempo pressing game?

Ancelotti will want money to spend and players that are there already will have to be assessed if they can do the job or need shipping out. The dippers might have to lower their expectations for the next season or two as I don't think the situation will be fixed just by changing manager.

Definitely didn't help him with Chelsea getting beat. Overhyped manager who was wrongly awarded Manager of the Season when Pelle should have won it by a landslide.

A part of me is sad that the clueless arse has got the boot because any manager they bring in will do better than he did,but they are not on our radar and will stay off our radar for a considerable time to come.

You think they would be excited by the possible arrival of Klopp yet still some bang on about it "Not being the Liverpool way"...etc etc...

Most of em are still harping on about almost winning the league

I think liverpool have panicked and sacked rogers because the likes of carlo ancelotti and jurgen klopp will have more clubs interested next year(us ,chelsea , real )

It would be really funny if this backfires and both of them say no
