Sturridge is incredibly frustrating. The team look much more settled and much more like they know what he's doing when he's there. He just lifts the team being there. If Rodgers and/or the transfer committe were smart, then they'd have gone all in AS SOON AS SUAREZ LEFT, to find a mobile, reliable, healthy striker. I just don't get why this is so mysterious or difficult.

It was Villa, but I like Coutinho-Firmini-Sturridge up front. Now our problem looking out into the future is that there is no reason why Spurs won't improve given their manager and age; and Leicester may make an astute signing or three. And at some point Chelsea will be half decent. And Mourinho's going to go to the swamp.

That we failed to push on post-Suarez and qualify for the Champions League when we had an opening to is just staggering incompetence.

Don't think Matip is a bad signing for them, but a very Liverpool-level signing. He'll be willing to play whatever position is asked of him and give it his all every match. Not to mention, he is already used to the Europa Leage.

Sturridge/Firminho/Coutinho is a very good front 3 and how often they're fit could well define Klopp's next 18 months at Liverpool.

Matip is a decent signing, certainly better than what they've got.

I also think Matip will be a decent signing for them, same as Milner. I think it says a lot that they are making such free transfers these days. Perhaps their finances are not too good? Stadium expansion costly?

It was a no brainer to go for Matip,he's 24 and a Bosman with over 200 games in the Bundesliga and Klopp knows all about him from the Bundesliga.

Stadium expansion will be be paid for by the naming rights, already being reported in today paper's that it will be around 90 million over 10 years (stand has cost 120 million) and the deal could be higher as we need a new training kit sponsor so they could be tied together which was also reported,Billy Hogan the Commercial director has been in Asia talking to 3 companies.

Then the Anfield road stand will be next, already got planning permission and all housing has already been cleared behind the stand, probably pay for that with another naming rights no doubt,FSG have delivered in regards to ever expanding turnover/commercial revenues and stadium expansion, finances are as strong as ever.
