Here's another little fact, the last time City pulled in a league crowd of under 40'000 was in 2008 and the last time we pull in a league crowd of less than 30'000 was in the 3rd division in 1999 (29'337).. Despite the media keep banging on about empty seats our support is amazing, we turned up in the shit and the shitter times and is something that you can't hold a candle to.. Six months under Hogson?? Boo hoo hoo, try a dose of Frank Clarke, Stuart Pearce and Alan Ball. Then you can have a genuine whinge

Not sure what we're discussing here.....if you want us to say Liverpool have a small fanbase, I'd have to disagree. If you want us to say that somehow having a gate of 35,000 for 1 game on NewYears Day in 2011, makes us all fickle, I'd have to disagree. If you say that not having won the League for 26 years or European Cup for 11 means we will lose millions of fans, I'd have to disagree. I don't know if any Liverpool supporter has come on here and slagged off City's support, if so I'd have to disagree with that too. Expectations are a massive thing, we havent seen those depths of the 3rd division or the shit times you describe, so Hodgson was about as bad as it got since Souness in the early 90s. Luckily for us, even the shit times are pretty good, but our expectations far exceed the ability of our team, hence our reputation for being over-emotional both when we win and when we lose.
