think it all comes down to how much the new signings have improved us from last season.

Milner & Henderson are both capable of replacing the football of Gerrard 2014-15 but not the leadership yet

We have more options up front with Sturridge, (Benteke), Balotelli, Ings, Origi

Clyne should do better than Johnson from last season.
Can, Markovic and Ibe (first team) should be better in their 2nd season.
If Lovren doesn't improve we may struggle with centre backs if Sahko has a similar injury record.

United are buying a lot and Chelsea are still a solid outfit.

I think we have enough about us to push Arsenal or City out of the top 4 nest.

We've taken their best player off them now so fuck em. Their manger is a fraud and the fans live in the past. Their best years are behind them and they cant accept they are a mid table team. They only have the media hype machine to cling on to now but sooner or later that will go too. Their 3 best players have left in the past 12 months and everyone who support them are shitting themselves but because they are in such deep denial they don't realize it yet. Its brilliant to watch and i hope the penny doesn't drop anytime soon
 
I love how the narrative is that WE are somehow the easiest team to knock out of the top 4, despite finishing no lower than 3rd in the last 5 seasons. Heard this shite from more than just the dippers this summer.
 
Hope they hammer every team they play in the preseason. ;-) Get that expectation right up there. Ha!
