its a tough one, love them to fail but that would make them stronger in the league. With europe and Klopps style plus no winter break might see them burn out or at least succeptible to injuries. A weeks revovery between most games would benefit them huge.
Finish third in their group and into the Europa league would do..

Finally the coefficient will work in our favour. Even if they win, Liverpool cannot expect an easy ride assuming City progress through the qualifiers.

They'll get one shit team in the group and get Europa qualification no problem mate.

Never thought I'd say this, but I hope Liverpool win tomorrow. 5 English teams in the CL would be nice and as many have said, they will benefit hugely in the league if they have no European matches to play in. That being said, I do enjoy when Liverpool lose as well.

I know if they're in the champs league next year it will hinder their progress in the Prem, but I just can't bring myself to wish them well in Europe. They're already unbearable, if they win another European trophy they will be even more so.

Interesting that they've had a worse season in the league than any under Rodgers, both in terms of points and position. This time last season they were all screaming for Rodgers' head, having finished 6th with 2 more points.

The downside to them winning tomorrow is (a) they've won something and we'll never hear the end of it. God knows how many books will be written when they managed four just for coming second in the PL. And (b) with 5 times in the CL that dilutes the available market pool, which is a fixed pot of money that gets split 5 ways instead of 4.

Sevilla will beat them, they're an excellent side who seem to specialise in this competition. As for Klopp, he's a good manager, but not a great one. He's lauded for his passion, but that only takes you so far and his tactics particularly have been found our at times.

The press love him because he's Liverpool manager, but he's nowhere near the level of Pep.

Be interesting to see how they play because the league cup final they were shite and we should of been out of site with chances.
