Have I just heard Rogers say he was looking to play some of his youth players against us to give them an opportunity ?

As if? His attempt at mind games are quite poor, first the injuries, now this I don't believe a word of it, it would not surprise me if Stevie Starfish played

suits me, they've played better away without him as they have a better shape.

They have had a weak set of fixtures in the run up to Christmas, hence the record month goals for Suarez, which has catapulted them to where they are but they aren't title contenders. They will soon be back to slagging off Allen, Henderson, Sterling and co before you know it.

They played well in the first half against a Spurs side whose confidence was non-existent but looked 2nd best in the 2nd until Paulinho's red. From then on you'd have to be a shit team not to score 3 against them. Spurs couldn't score goals with 11 no matter who they faced, nevermind 10.

They're a dangerous side, they always have been even when languishing down the table, so even if they were to grab a point or even a win I don't think,we need fear them in terms of the title, despite the inevitable post-match media frenzy. As everything stands right now (pre jan transfers) we're in a 2 horse race with Jose. Fuck knows whether Arse will make any signings, if they do then I could see them being serious contenders, but this is Wenger we're talking about. We know for sure that Chelsea will sign a striker and so far without one Mourinho has Chelsea picking up points whilst playing shit and arguably with 10 mean each week.

They might not win the title but the rags are cunts, I'll be surprised if they don't finish much higher than many think. I'd put money on them finishing above 1 of Arse or Liverpool, perhaps both.

Bit disappointed with some of the views coming across here - as a fan for nearly 40 years and a season ticket holder for most I take nothing for granted whether it's against Liverpool or Crystal Palace.

Tomorrow will be a tough game but I'm hopeful vinny can do a job on Suarez. He's done a great job on Rooney before now but tomorrow will be a different type of test.

I'm hoping zabba will be fit but otherwise would pick Milner at RB, to win tomoz I think we need the following team;

Hart, Zabba/Milner, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy, Yaya, Fernandinho,Nasri, Silva, Navas & Negredo

This is tough on Milner ...... would start him vs palace :-)

Theres a difference in thinking we will win to expecting a win..

we are the best home side in Europe at the moment,we are the only prem club unbeaten at home, we average 4 goals per game at home and concede 0'65% goals per game at home...
And you are disappointed with some of the views on here..

5-0 City.

Your disappointed because some City fans dare to be optimistic?
I hate the 'disappointed' comments because they've been fans for X, Y and Z amount of years. Load of tripe, it's not being arrogant, our ground is a torture chamber at this moment in time and our players are in the mindset of champions. In this form, I don't fear Barcelona at home, let alone Liverpool. I'm confident that our players can come out tomorrow with all 3 points.

If it was away, I'd be feeling differently.

I don't think you know the meaning of the word crap then. Come back when you've played in the 3rd division.

Absolutely this!

"Been crap for 3-4 years", try it when you have been crap for 34 years...and the rest!

Exactly so your going to accumulate more 'plastics' than us.

FFS I went on rawk earlier to see all sort of shit spout about us. I didn't expect it on here.

So does Stevie starfish have a chance of playing tomorrow or is the pic an old one just put out there to try the old mind games,to be honest have said previous if we play anywhere near our best with or with out starfish we should win, although do think it will be a tough game...
Having already disposed of the rags ,spurs and arsenal if we hammer liverpool and chelsea would this be a first that all supposed title contenders have been hammered by the one rival in a season at home....

No mate - disappointed that some people assume every team we play at home will roll over and let us tickle their bellies. Maybe I'm a bit more old in the tooth to know assume nothing as whoever you're playing you need to be at your best. That's all.

The positive is for nearly every game at home we have been at our best this season .... but zabba and Aguero will be big misses. But don't confuse what I'm saying re tomorrow - I'm confident not arrogant.
