She doesn't seem to be very clued up. When she met Lavrov earlier this year and he showed her up with her absolute lack of knowledge about about Russian geography, she took the bait hook, line and sinker. You would think as foreign secretary you would know your geography. Her being Prime Minister is scary, she just doesn't seem to be very bright.

That may get her by for a few months, but the public will see her for what she is, and as soon as the MPs realise she is inept, they will kick her out. This could easily happen before the next GE. If she hangs on till the next GE, she will surely lose resoundingly.

Interestingly she has stopped the Johnson select committee appointment of Chope, who many saw him as being his get out of jail card in terms of partygate.
As an MP he is best known for his long record of blocking some bills by shouting “object” when they are presented to parliament for their second reading.

He gained widespread notoriety when he used the controversial tactic in 2018 to block the progression of a law to make upskirting a criminal offence.

It looks like Truss is making sure Johnson is made to face the music for once for his actions. Which is likely to result in Johnson not being an MP and unable to fulfil his dream at becoming the Lazarus PM.

Truss just isn't very good at public speaking.

I agree. She’s very wooden and offers no real emotion or character when speaking. Charles, boris and starmer are much better speakers.

Hard to believe that Tory MPs and party members thought Liz Truss is going to win the next GE.

I doubt they do tbf. She's probably a stop gap whilst whatever machinations necessary go on to sort out a more electorally viable candidate and they'll chuck her over the side prior to the GE. Alternatively they might decide things are and will be sufficiently grim that they'll be happy to be out of power for a term to try and pin things on Labour.

I despair, tbh.
My granddad used to say he was glad he wasn't young, and I used to wonder why. Now I know.
We elect fuckwits. Absolute fuckwits. Albeit they are puppets put there by people with an agenda. A very dark agenda. But we, the people, still vote for them.
