Not necessarily. As much as his return causes consternation on here, his appeal to the English electorate, both large C and small c, appears unshakable, especially in the shires. Plenty over-50s think he was hard done by and would give him another chance.

I think the tories will always do well in the shires no matter what - it’s their corner-stone
The re-emergence of Alexander depfeffel will only serve to remind the red wall voters that he and the tories have done nothing for them especially in terms of the promises of brexit.
That’s where they will suffer most if they bring back the lying fraud.

The nutters will defo pick Johnson. The establishment will ensure that works out as Mordant. Let’s have an election. It seem inevitable.
