Liz Truss

Rishi was right all along , even a thick cow like me understood what he was saying and why her plans wouldnt work , feel so much for those that now have ginormous mortages

My first house was in the late 80's and we lost 16k because of negative equity , it was a nightmare
Why didn’t you just stay in the house you’d bought?

I think you’re absolutely correct. Meanwhile I’ve lost a small fortune thanks to markets crashing, and I never thought I’d have to worry about my DB pension particularly as we were told it was fully funded recently for the first time in years. Thankfully I’m in a position where I don’t need to sell any equities and with luck they’ll be back up eventually.

how much is a “small fortune “? And how did you accrue it?

I don’t disagree, I’m just making the point that just saying Labour would be better is in my opinion just settling for the least worst outcome. We desperately need political reform and have politicians who can lead and improve the prospects and opportunities for all. I’m just not convinced Labour would in the long term be any better In their current guise. You only need to look how fat Starmer has shifted towards the right to know that all he cares about is getting the top job not making a fundamental difference to millions of lives across the U.K.
The only way he’ll make a difference is by getting the top job.
