Just imagine the Conservatives are so bereft of talent she - who crashed the economy in short order - and Johnson who faces a number of enquiries into his honesty and imtegrity are seen as suitable for making a comeback !!!!!

The Tories know their days in office will soon be over, these are the first shots in the ideological war for the Party's soul, if soul is the right word to use for the Conservatives. The runners and riders are not waiting for the day after they're turfed out, because quite a few Tory MPs don't recognise Sunak's pseudo socialists as a Tory government at all.

This should really only concern those Tory MPs that believe they have a political future, many don't and they know it, though that might energise the doomed no-hopers to greater mischief as they've nothing to lose.

It's frankly bizarre how somebody can be so roundly ridiculed by pretty much the entire world and yet still have this kind of unwavering confidence in themselves and their convictions. How many ways does something have to go wrong for her to consider that her approach was even the slightest bit suboptimal?

She could be watching the Hindenburg burn and she'd still be wittering on about the merits of hydrogen airships.

I thought it was just her demeanour but I'm beginning to think she must actually be an android devoid of human emotion.

Quite a way to make a comeback - complaining that nobody warned her of how the gilt market might react to a huge and largely unanticipated increase in borrowing, all done outside of the established fiscal schedule and with the OBR and the Treasury having been kept in the dark as to her intentions.
