So nothing specific about energy prices yet? I saw somewhere that she was considering a freeze on bills but that it might be more "targeted" than Labour's proposal which doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. Whatever she comes up with I'd have thought that it should've been the very first thing she should deal with, and while I accept that it takes a lot more than 5 minutes to come up with a solution, she should've surely done all the ground work by now and had an announcement ready to coincide with her being announced as PM.

I'm not so sure. The voters liked Johnson because he was funny.
A sizeable number of the electorate are still in the "politics is boring" group and anything that taxes their grey matter is ignored. A showman like Johnson or Trump appeals to their ignorance.
